We recommend mixing the powder with water. This is a liquid drink. Some people like to add the powder to other drinks but it is best designed to be mixed with water. **Q: What is the expiration date?** A: I do not know that answer. I have bought the 5 lb before for my husband and he works out 3 times a week and takes it before his workout and after and it has never gone bad and I think it lasted him 3-4 months.
