Glad I bought this
The footrests can interfere with the front wheels at times. But overall I like the chair it makes showering much safer. No transfers on slippery floors. Seat is higher than a standard chair which makes moving around a little tricky if you donโt have two hands to steer with. Glad I have this chair without a doubt

Constructive criticism
We purchased this chair to use with my son with C5 SCI and spastic quadriplegia. It was inadequate for our needs. Although I thought it was well put together, he felt that it was jiggly and insecure. The back was described as adjustable. That means that there were straps that could be loosened, not an actual recline feature. My son is tall and needs to be able to recline a bit to feel good in a chair. When the straps were loosened to give him a position of comfort and security, the clasps of the straps dug into his back. The hard seat was not tolerable for him, so we had ordered a soft seat attachment. However, this had a rough plastic surface and he could not transfer in and out of the seat without shear to skin, especially when wet. We returned the equipment and the manufacturer provided a prompt refund. The chair may be perfectly fine for a person with different needs but it was not for ours. I intend this comment as constructive criticism for the manufacturer's engineers to consider for further design modifications

Independent use
I spent a lot of time researching for something that could give me some independence to take a shower. This product seemed to give me everything I wanted. Self propelled, locking wheels, etc. and in a perfect world it would be easy to go in, shower, wheel out but it is incredibly useless for the price and expectations. It does not wheel easily when dry at all and once wet it does not work period. The wheels turn but cannot get traction with or without rugs/towels etc. Even though I had a new wheelchair shower installed and all I need to do is wheel it in you can't maneuver it. I have never been more disappointed in a product. The ergonomic seat. You fall down a hole and can't get out. I have been trying to find out if there is a normal seat to use but no luck so far. I am so sorry because this could be a life changing product, not just an expensive mistake.

Great chair
I Wish I had gotten this sooner. The height adjustments are easy to use. And it gives my husband independence to push himself in the bathroom. I am glad we bought the removable wheels. It fits great over the toilet. However he wishes it was a bit more elongated in order to get " his junk" to pee in the toilet.

Great Except for the HARD plastic ergonomic seat!
This product is very nice except for the seat. The seat is NOT soft as advertised in the listing. Its a hard molded plastic that does not have any cushion whatsoever. After contacting Invacare they indicated the seat I received was correct and that the Amazon's ad is is incorrect and claimed they (Invacare) didn't write the ad. So now I'm stuck and have to buy an additional add-on accessory to make it soft. Amazon will only return the product.
