Works great
I purchased this to re stretch the carpet in my hallway and living room. It held up fine. It's not a professional model, but is a good value for what I needed.

Helped me get my basement back to normal after a flood
Came home from vacation and was diddling around in my basement shop when it hit me. Sniff. Sniff. Something smells "wrong." It smelled like that time we had a mouse die in the space between the basement and first-floor ceiling/floor. I got my ladder out and my 8-foot grabber (I'm not touchin' no dead mouse!), got down on my hands and knees to slide the TV stand out of the way and SQUISH! Wet carpet! We'd had several days of hard rain, and as it turned out, my chipmonks had chewed through some corrugated drainage pipes so the water dripped too close to the house and seeped into my basement. Not terrible, but enough that things were already starting to smell bad. Pulled out the offending materials, dried it all out and purchased this knee-kicker so I wouldn't have to hire a carpet company to come stretch my carpets back in place. At 47, knees are going to take a beating no matter cushioned the knee-kicker is, but all in all, it works really well. The grabber nails are long enough for most luxury carpets. Would buy again.

I did it!!
We had a minor flood after about 3 feet of snow melted, followed by 4 inches of rain in a week. Every carpet repair company in the area was overwhelmed from all the flooding, so no one would even return my calls for such a small job. I was on my own! I watched several YouTube videos to learn how to restretch and reinstall carpet, and it actually seemed doable so, I bought this tool because hiring a pro just wasnโt an option at the time. For reference, Iโm a 56-year-old woman, 5'2" and 105 lbs, and I was able to fix our carpeting myself. I will say it was more physically demanding than the videos make it look, but it worked. You can see from the photos that the carpet turned out perfectly!! I did end up borrowing my brotherโs Roberts knee kicker for part of the job, but everything was done by me. SOOO happy to have my basement back!

Carpeted a whole house
Just moved in to a new house, couldn't find anyone around to replace carpet in my house that wasn't outrageously expensive. I have installed carpet once in my life and remember having one of these, so I bought another. This thing is great! Extendable for my long legs so I don't have to be right up against the wall while trying to kick, and collapsible so that I could fit into the closets and get the carpet in tighter spaces. We installed some thicker carpet and the adjustable teeth on this worked perfectly. Only complaint from me is cleaning. The little carpet fibers get stuck in the teeth on it and it starts to not work the same. Had to clean it out, but, you have to do that with all of these carper kickers.

Pad not connected
Great kicker excepted for the fact that the pad is not connected to the rest of it always falling off. I had to drill and put a nut and bolt to keep it together.. (see pic) other than that, I love it

Sturdy and easy to use - good quality
This is a very chunky tool, - which you need when you are stretching a carpet back in place as I was. I had a quote of over a $1,000 to re-stretch my carpets as they had 'rippled' over time. It was simple to use: move the furniture to one side of the room, pull the carpet off the gripper rods at each wall, then start at one end of the room and work your way along stretching the carpet and having someone secure the carpet back on the gripper rods as you stretch with this awesome tool - to hold the carpet back in place, then repeat for the other side of the room (- having moved the furniture of course!). Highly recommend, good price and very quick delivery.
