**Q: How long is the ces-56utl-1 rod??  is it one piece or two??  what line weight and lure weight is it designed for??  the info on this ad sucks!!**
A: The model number tells you everything. The rod is 5 foot 6 inches. All rods under 6' by this mfg are one piece. The "utl" tells you that it is an ultra light rod.  Ultra lights typically use 2-4 pound test line.  Lure weights of 1/32 oz are normal.  I use mine with a water bubble and flies to fish wherever overhanging trees or narrow streams make fly casting difficult.  The water bubble, in case you haven't run into one before, is a clear plastic float that can be filled with varying amounts of water.  It adds weight, like a fly casting line, to aid landing the fly, which is on a 5-6' leader attached to the bubble, in front of the trout or bass you are trying to entice. Obviously this rig is looked down on by purists, but it works.

**Q: Is it good for crappie fishing. Is it really whipy**
A: this is not a really whippy rod. It is a light sensitive rod with a fairly good backbone. I landed 4lb rainbows without a problem.

**Q: lure weight by grams?**
A: 14 grams or 1/2 ounce would be my limit of lures/Spoons to use casting. I use my Celilo trolling for trout on my downrigger . Lots of flex but holds up w fish on.

**Q: How do they pack the rod?**
A: My 4'6" single piece trout rod came in a 4' box. Snapped in half to make it fit. I suggest against buying any rod that does not come in two pieces... Because it will be sent in two pieces regardless.

bought it about a year ago and its still going, the tip is still on it after hitting so many branches. I have  also  reeled in some bass with it.

Paired with an Okuma reel, nice ultralight rod. I struggle with accuracy. Would be nice if the taper we’re a little more progressive along the length (rather than just being pretty darn thin everywhere) to offer more control. That said it means you can load this rod with some pretty light lures. And accuracy isn’t totally diminished, there still is some accuracy but you’ll need to practice if you’re used to a medium rod.
