Review: Great option for fluoride-free families, has helped my sensitive teeth dramatically - This is a great non-fluoride toothpaste. Our whole family switched to nano hydroxyapatite instead of fluoride pastes, we have had great dental visits and no regrets. No one has had a cavity since switching 2 years ago, but three of the four of us didn’t have cavities to begin with. I would say that my own sensitivity to cold (something I’ve had for 40 years) has decreased significantly since using this daily. This paste is far more effective for sensitivity than high fluoride options have been for me. My two teenage boys both love this toothpaste. My teeth feel clean. I wouldn’t say the toothpaste whitens better than any other paste does. My mouth feels fresh after brushing. I like the idea of remineralizing tooth surfaces but I don’t know how I would quantify that. The flavors are all good, I would rank them as follows: lemon lavender, mint, cinnamon mint, cardamom, ginger (don’t get it if you don’t LOVE ginger). Cardamom is really nice but I could see getting tired of it. Ginger is kinda weird. My boys love the lemon lavender the best. The flavors can be intense but in a natural, not artificial way. It’s not too sweet at all like some pastes can be. This toothpaste is absolutely worth the higher price point. I feel good about my family using it.

**Q: Doesn't glycerin inhibit the remineralization process? Shouldn't this be made without it?**
A: The main ingredients in this product are water and glycerin, which you are correct in that glycerin inhibits the remineralization process. I would stay far away from this gimmick and use Uncle Harry’s products, which are 100% natural and nothing short of life changing for healthy teeth and gums.

**Q: How does your10% compare to the 100g of the Apagard product. I need an apples to apples comparison, 10% tells me nothing in comparing the two products**
A: So, if I understand your question, you are asking how many grams of n-Ha are in a tube of the Boka Ela Mint toothpaste? Assuming that the 10% number you have is of the total volume, and the tube has 4oz (as listed), then it would be 11.34g of n-Ha per tube.
4oz=113.398g
0.1 x 113.398=11.3398
Not sure where you got the 10% from though, as I can’t find that number anywhere. I also don’t know how large the tube of Apagard with 100g of n-Ha is either (considering that 100g is almost the whole bottle of Boka, so I know their tube has to be significantly larger!), so it may not be a good comparison. What would be more informational is the percentage in the Apagard as compared to the Boka. Also, as the company answered, the size and shape of the n-Ha will also effect the products efficacy.

**Q: Why does it have vegetable glycerin? I heard is hard on the enamel.**
A: There is no scientific evidence that glycerin harms the enamel. One doctor, Dr. Judd, claimed that with no evidence, and the internet has run with it. Don’t believe everything you read online! If you can find a scientific peer reviewed study that demonstrates glycerin harms the enamel, let us know!

**Q: Can someone explain the sequence? Do you brush, rinse, floss, rinse, then brush again and don't rinse?**
A: According to the ADA, the routine should be:

Rinse
Brush
* Do NOT immediately rinse, nor eat or drink, for at least 30 minutes. You can rinse after that, but the longer the toothpaste stays on your teeth, the better its chemical components are able to meditate the process of remineralization. This is especially true with xylitol and flouride. 

Some might take issue with that, but chemicals like flouride and xylitol just don't work as well if they're immediately rinsed off.

I was immediately convinced this would work due to its ingredients, I had a previous filling fallout. So I immediately requested he apply another filling while I was getting some other dental work done, and the dentist said there was no rush to install, A new filling, showed me a picture. It looked great still white no cavities. In the high definition, microscope photo he showed me,It almost look like the inside of a white Jacuzzi tub with molded seat, I had the rest of the work done and didn’t get to go back soon enough, and the tooth started to bother me when something sweet would hit that spot and I looked in the mirror and it was starting to turn a light brownish color, I had just heard about HA toothpaste, I did some research and this is what I found Hydroxyapatite = the SAME mineral your teeth are made of • Your enamel is mostly this material (like 70–97% of tooth structure)  • So instead of adding a chemical… it’s literally rebuilding with the original material When you brush with nano-hydroxyapatite: • Tiny particles fill in microscopic cracks in enamel • Helps reduce sensitivity • Can make teeth look whiter naturally (smoother surface reflects light better) • Strengthens teeth against future damage so I ordered 3 pack Boka HA and on everything I love in three days of brushing for 2 minutes twice a day morning at night, do not brush your teeth with tapwater ever!!! It has more chlorine than a swimming pool, calcium lead, and other harsh chemicals that will take away the layer it’s going to build always use bottled water and do not rinse this toothpaste out of your mouth. Let it settle in and pack it into your molars and in between your teeth,it was completely healed and no sensitivity to sugar, hot or cold, it tastes great, and the fluoride free is the only way to go fluoride will destroy your tooth enamel, I gave the other two tubes to my kids and they love it, I am looking forward to less dental appointments for sure!!!!!
