Klein Tools 32216#2 Phillips Screw Holding Screwdriver, 7-Inch Round Shank

Where has this tool been? I have wanted something like this tool since the first time I had to turn a screw on an electrical outlet or switch. You know the screw that is half Phillips and half straight. Whether I used a Phillips screwdriver or a flat screwdriver it kept slipping out. This Klein screwdriver has the exact screw pattern as the electrical screw head AND has a boot you push/slide around the screw. One exception, if the screw head is very shallow/doesn’t have much to dig into, the screwdriver will not hold so well. But hey, that’s understandable to me. Nothings perfect and this is a solid tool, saving me time on every outlet and switch.

Great tool. This invention is better than sliced bread. Great tool at twice the cost. Wish they had made this z50 years ago.

Heavy Duty

Good product but didn't work for my needs. 99 suburban tail light removal. Too much plastic material to allow me to get the tip of the Phillip's head into the slots of the screw to remove. Had to go back to my Craftsman steel 'screw head grabber' which was semi broken to get the screws out. But I'll go to it the next time I need a screw holding driver on anything other than a GMC...lol YMMV.

This device towers above every silly, derivative and gratuitous novelty being peddled by aspiring entrepreneurs on "Shark Tank," where the message is: To the Energy Bunny goes the gig (with Mark, if you're lucky). I expected another screwdriver with a magnetic tip barely holding a screw straight enough and long enough to be effective without an electric drill. Much to my surprise, this invention ("gadget" is too frivolous a word for a tool as practical as this) is better than a 2nd human helper (even one willing to withstand multiple blows to the fingers)! An ingenious spring works in combination with the tool's slotted holder to enable precision alignment of your screw followed by near-permanent attachment between the driver and the screw--from starting the screw-hole to finishing the job. The Klein Phillips screwdriver is with you every millimeter and millisecond of the way. Just a couple of cautions: 1. The size of the screw head is everything. Make sure it's a "wood screw" with a head that's sufficiently wide and deep (the tiny area that fans out from the screw to the underside of the head). If it's the wrong size, you should know immediately, as it won't earn a solo spot at the screwing end of the device. (I had some "ringers" that were instantly expelled.). 2. Don't get "vicious" about turning the driver until it absolutely will not budge. The driver has a clever "safety" that should prevent you from "over-screwing." Try to be good with "tight": no need to exhaust all your "might." Don't push it. It knows what it's doing. I bought my first iPod in 2002. I wish I could say this intelligent screwdriver is the best invention since the iPhone (2008), but sadly (for me) a device that tries to be a phone in addition to an iPod, a quality camera, an audio-video recorder, a GPS, a movie theater, and a computer amounts to one confusing (not to mention confused) telephone. BEST screwdriver for holding screws while atarting screws in difficult applications.

it did exactly what it was supposed to do. held the screw so I didn't have to. I had to reach to the back of my oven to install a tiny screw to secure my oven igniter. I couldn't possibly have hoisted myself in the oven, contorted my shoulders and managed to do all that without the help of this Philips driver. there's a mental picture for you.

Pratique car tenir l'embout c'est bien mais parfois tenir la vis c'est encore mieux. Le mécanisme (ressort intégré au manche) ainsi que la partie plastique en charge du maintien de la vis semblent très résistant. Klein ne fait que de bons outils et celui-ci, en plus, est proposé à un prix abordable. Très content de mon achat.
