I know it would take effort to apply, but if I get the straight bottom part covered should help?** A: The sheets absolutely work towards dimming LED & the brightness, however, I’m not sure about easily and consistently covering Christmas tree bulbs…(due to roundness and varied shape of the bulb…hope this helped **Q: Can i put this on our outside led motion sensor lights? my neighborhood is lit up like vegas because of my outdoor light.** A: I used this on my outside lights I installed on my porch rail and it did soften it a little. **Q: Will this work for outdoor solar lights that are cold white? I want to change the 6500k to 3000k- will this work or will it dim it too much? Thanks** A: Not sure but I had to double mine to dim my light enough,definitely worth a try. **Q: Is it heat resistant?** A: Up to 96c or 205f yes, but as you get higher in temperature above these numbers the product will get soft and of course anything that gets hot enough may catch fire. We have not seen any consumer LED lights which get hotter than this yet. In some cases the back or rear of an LED light can get hotter but where you apply the LIGHTDIMS or WhiteDims does not get that hot. The easiest way to check if your light is not above 205f or 96c is to get a laser temp gun for about $25. A normal thermometer may work as well but could damage the thermometer. If you can put your hand on the light without getting burned or needing to remove it instantly then it is not above 205f. Getting them sized correctly and installed is difficult, as they are very sticky and placing them perfectly centered so that there is no light peeking out from the edges is very hard.
