Rottie approved!
Rottie approved! Slow feeders weren’t working so we split up her dinner to use the ball (2 cups of dog food so 1/2 cup in the ball x 4 times). It entertains her for a long time. The quality is great - thick and durable. Easy to clean. Even if there’s no food in it she still likes to chew on it. It’s a wonky shape so it bounces all over the place if you use it as a ball (she loves it… keeps her on her toes lol). Same quality as Kong and Hero toys.

Great for mental stimulation. Durable for my chewers!
Love these! Quality material, safe for dogs — I make my dogs home made freezer treats and fill these up with it, and serve. Keeps them busy for hours. It’s also fun for them to roll it around to get regular treats out of. Toy + treats = a very happy pup. This size I got for my puppy. The larger ones I use for my adult dogs. Super cute too, and silent! I have Mini Aussies, so it’s great mental stimulation for them. Tires them out.

Great dog toy!
Hands down my dogs favorite treat dispenser! It’s so fun to watch them roll the toy around and try to get the treats out! Not completely impossible for dogs but definitely takes them a while to get the treats out. Durable if your dog is a heavy chewer and my dogs always take a nap afterwards!

Practical product that meets several important needs, but its not without some flaws.
This has been an incredible food dispenser to add to our collection. I initially bought it because I was looking for something that didn’t bang around and make as much noise while my dog was eating, and the Snoop meets that need. I have a Doberman. After rolling the Snoop around to dislodge the Nook (during which time as small amount of kibble will fall out) she will pick up the Snoop by inserting her lower jaw in the hole, and grasping the top with her upper jaw, and then she licks out as many kibbles as she can. Then she rolls it around to move the food out from behind the folded section more to the middle, where she can lick out the kibbles, and keeps repeating this until she finishes. Obviously this is not the way it will work for every dog, particularly if they don’t have a long snout. It usually takes 8-10 minutes for her to eat a cup of food, as opposed to >1 minute if she we’re eating from a bowl. So it works as both a slow feeder and enrichment for my dog. Since I use it for mealtime (rather than treats) I generally take it away once my dog finishes eating. She seems to enjoy the texture and while she’s not a super chewer, she is strong and I don’t want to take any chances. Besides, it’s much easier to clean if I don’t let it sit around attracting dust and crumbs and lint (which it really does, people are not exaggerating!) I generally plop it in a dishpan filled with warm soapy water, do a little swish and wipe it, then rinse it right off and haven’t had any problems cleaning it. All that said, after two months of daily use I’ve noticed that the material is developing something like stress cracks around the spot where it “folds” and I didn’t remember reading about that in other reviews. This is an important tool for me during the puppy phase so I will still order another Snoop, despite that fact that I generally prefer longer lasting products. I will point out that the way the company attaches the tag by putting the plastic loop through the orbee-tuff material makes it annoying to remove at best, and potentially worse if you can’t fully remove the plastic ends from the material.

Must have!
Update: 11/13/16 I've now had this just over two years and it is finally starting to show some wear on the edges of the funnel that is normally folded into the bowl. It still functions just fine, but there are a couple cracks at the edge. I bought a second one earlier this year as a replacement but haven't used it yet. I decided, tonight, that I'd throw out the old one next trash night. lol In my original review, I mentioned that I pick the dispenser up immediately after she finishes eating. It's been clear that she isn't going to massacre it, so I'm not as vigilant at picking it up. Sometimes, she'll have it all day while I'm at work. She'll greet me at the door with it hanging from her mouth while her butt wiggles in greeting. It's quite the sight. A bubble-headed, wiggle butt. Love this! I haven't found anything I like better. *Original Post* I really love this treat/food dispenser. My dog gulps her food and has some other behavioral issues. A different treat dispenser was recommended by a trainer and I wasn't impressed with that one. So I did some research and came across this one. I already have the Orbee Diamond Plate ball which my dog has been unable to destroy over several months (and she destroys most balls within minutes). Already impressed with Orbee, I decided to give this dispenser a shot. Based on the reviews, I knew this could be destroyed as it's not meant to be a chew toy. Generally, as soon as my dog is done eating, I remove the dispenser. However, there have been several occasions where I haven't done so, and she has not chewed it up. I don't know why, but once she gets all the food from it, she's done with it and leaves it alone. I'm not complaining because it's too expensive to keep buying them. The first few tips of the dispenser will offer a rather generous payload, but I see that as a good thing as that initial success keeps her trying--even when there are only one or two pieces of kibble to get out at the end. Because this is a soft material, it is flexible and provides some decent bounce. It's quite fun to watch her grip it in her teeth (it looks like some bubble-head muzzle when she does this), lift her head, and slam it to the ground to bounce out the stubborn kibble at the end. She's also discovered that if she gets on the sofa or bed, it drops farther and has more impact thereby dislodging any kibble that might get stuck in the tiny hole on the bottom. It's good fun to watch her antics and nice to know that she isn't gulping her food. It normally takes her between 15-20 minutes to get every last piece out versus the 2-3 minutes when she inhales it out of a bowl. I mentioned the tiny hole at the bottom. I was concerned that the smaller pieces of kibble would trickle out. My dog eats Blue Buffalo with Lifesource Bits. The Bits are very tiny (smaller than a pea) and would easily fit through the small hole; however, this does not appear to be the case. Generally, a larger kibble will get wedged in the hole and prevents the smaller one from getting out that way. My dog gets 1 to 1.25 cups of food twice a day (depending on her activity levels), and I have had no trouble fitting either of those quantities in the dispenser. As I already mentioned, the first few rolls of the dispenser will eject a higher payload and the more food I put in, the higher the initial payoff. Some reviewers have complained about the dispenser gathering a lot of carpet fuzz and dust bunnies. This is true. I run the dispenser through very hot water every other day after she eats in the morning and by her night time feeding, it's dry. Then about twice a week, I add dish detergent and shake it up to clean it really well. Food is easy to put in this. The plastic (or whatever material it is) is folded down in so it's more of a half-moon ball. When it's on the flat side, it challenges the dog to figure out how to roll it back to the bouncier, rounder side. Anyhow, the folded down part can be rolled out and functions as a tube through which I add the food. Then I just roll it back in on itself and voila! 15-20 minutes of food and fun. Because of the material, this is quite a quiet dispenser which is nice when I have to feed the dog at 5:30 in the morning and don't want to wake up the rest of the house. I have tile, laminate flooring and carpeting, so she can transition amongst the three without any major noise difference. I've had this for a couple months now, and she still loves it, and it is holding up quite well. Again, despite being a chewer, she seems to leave this alone once she gets the food out (It appears I'm lucky in this).

No challenge once they figure it out once, or if they have a long nose
The first time I used this with my 9 month old Shepard mix, it was great. We used about 1/3 cup of her kibble and added the Nook to make it harder. It kept her working for 20-30 minutes. However, now that she knows how to remove the Nook, and stick her snout into the opening and lick up the kibble, it lasts about 5 minutes, and is no longer a challenge. She still enjoys playing with this, even when it is empty, and hasn't it destroyed it yet, so for that 3 stars.

My dog says it all. He loves it and it keeps him busy for quite some time. Even when there’s nothing inside!

This has exceeded expectations. Pop the kibble or treats inside it and dog spends ages trying to work out how to extract them. Even when its empty, dog has fun rolling the toy and chasing it. Very heavy duty rubber which has a minty smell to freshen their breath. Think the quality makes it great value for money
