I don’t want to fit it and then find out it interferes with the radio and then the recording.** A: It does not need a suppressor, as it is only diverting a supply of the 12 volt to an alternative gadget. I fitted mine in about an hour including running the cable up to and under the head lining. Really easy to install although I was a television engineer before I retired. You do really need a voltmeter though to make life easy, check the polarity which side of your fuses are alive.
