I made the chocolate sauce recipe from barefeetinthekitchen.com which was great and easy. I made the waffle mix using a sourdough discard recipe from bootbarn.com. I bought fry-light spray oil from co-op. The Lakeland waffle maker was absolutely splendid. I was concerned it didn’t have a timer. Which is silly as I have a kitchen timer. I was concerned it didn’t turn off automatically but then it’s safer for me to stand guard and actually they only took 4 mins for the first batch of four, and only 3 mins on the next few batches. The drip catcher is brilliant because the chef can eat the excess which is a huge bonus. I really love this machine. I would recommend it thoroughly. The waffles themselves were crispy and puffy, delicious and golden.
