## Description

This is the latest version of the 2-outlet IP Switch (model UIS-622B) which features a cloud-management option for remote management via web browser or app and an updated design. The 5Gstore IP Power Switch is a simple product that automatically power-cycles any device when internet connectivity is lost. All you have to do is connect the included ethernet cable from the 5Gstore IP Switch to your router, and then connect the power cables of the devices that you want to be power-cycled when internet connectivity is lost, like your DSL modem and router. Once you have everything connected, press the "UIS" button, and everything will be up and running. The 5Gstore IP Switch automatically pings five different targets (which you can specify), and when it is unable to ping the specified targets, it will power-cycle any devices that are connected to its power source.

## Features

- NEW version with cloud and app control options! Includes all the same features/functionality of the previous models (UIS-522B and UIS-322B)
- Cloud4UIS Device Management System: Allows you to monitor status, view logs, and change advanced settings & configurations via web browser
- GTalk Messenger Support: Sends you notifications and allows you to issue commands to check the status, as well as turn on/off power or power-cycle certain ports via GTalk

## Questions & Answers

**Q: With the rules this has, hypothetically could it be set to turn off and leave off if gateway is lost?**
A: I dont know the answer. But the 5G store has great tech support give them a call.

**Q: Will it work on private LAN?**
A: Yes it will work with out setting up the app on a smart device on a LAN with internet access but ,, I am not sure what you are asking. IF you have a LAN that is not connected to the internet than what are you going to be checking? You must be planning on the device to check for local devices connected on your LAN only. This seems strange but can be configured with this device but must be managed locally as you must not have an internet gateway on your private LAN.

The This unit comes setup to check for internet connection from your LAN to the internet via either ping or http request to a list of addresses on the internet. All of the destination request used to verify can be changed by the user via the web interface or the app on a smart phone. To use the app on a smartphone you do have to register with a server somewhere on the internet, likely China and than a connection can be setup to allow your smartphone to find your device and control it. This is an option that you do not have to setup as you can also manage it via a web page from any browser. From the web page you can reset or turn off and on the two outlets. The device supports DDNS with most poplar DDNS providers so you can access it from the internet if you know how to configure DDNS with port forwards thru your router.
If all you need to do is have a device to check for a internet connection and reboot when needed it will work out of the box, but the smaller 1 outlet units will also work for about $40 less from the 5gstore or 3Gstore out of the box with out any setup.

**Q: Will this give you a notification on your phone if your internet goes out? I would like to be notified if there is a problem.**
A: You won’t have internet to get an email alert

**Q: How does it work when my isp is down? Can you program a delay after each attempt?**
A: Yes you can set a delay on each outlet.

    Perfect Solution for my problem

*by C***6 on Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2021*

I have two Internet gateways from different ISPs - one for business and one for residential. I restart both at least once per month for security reasons. Occasionally, the one that controls my cameras, wireless light switches, thermostat, hubs for TV remotes, etc., loses the wireless connection, requiring it to be restarted. So, I have two situations where one or both gateways need to be reset regularly, requiring that I physically go to where they are in order to do that. The UIS-622B is the solution I was looking for. It has all the flexibility I need for controlling my gateways, automatically, on a schedule, or manually. Setup is very easy if you ignore the accompanying documentation, which is next to useless (and I'm a tech who's job is setting up and configuring this kind of stuff). One call to the support number and I got David, who gave me the quick start walk-thru and within 20 minutes or so I was up and running with updated firmware. The customer service David provided was excellent. The configuration for the power switch is very straightforward from there. The schedule supports up to 20 individual schedules - Once, Days, Weekly, or from 1-60 minutes on any or all outlets, or just reset. I'd like the ability to schedule bi-weekly, or monthly as well. Other than that, perfect!Update 2/24/20: This switch works so well that I bought a 2nd switch on 2/19 so that I could separate control of my two ISP gateways by their IP addresses. The first configuration with both gateways plugged into one switch was good for resetting both gateways based on the schedule, but could only monitor one router IP address for outage. The second switch provides individual control of the gateways. For outages. one switch controls the gateway and firewall on one network, and the other controls the other gateway on a different network. Both are still rebooted weekly for security. Still a five-star buy.

Good product and great Customer Support!

*by S***D on Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2021*

Update: The product itself seems to work because my devices can be accessed. But for some reason, both the cloud software on my computer and the phone app show "offline" and I can't connect to them.I hope others have better luck than me. I still appreciate all the efforts of the support staff who certainly tried to help.I needed this product for the WIFI security at my childhood home which I inherited. It's over 450 miles away and fairly frequent power outages keep knocking the Internet offline. I haven't gotten the unit down there yet but bought another one for my home here. It's working well. I mainly wanted to comment on their Customer Support. I'm no tech genius and had problems getting the device connected to the cloud service. I called 2 different times. Both times their support representative was very pleasant and helpful. The second one even waited patiently when I had to reboot my cranky laptop. After many lukewarm or bad experiences with other firms' "customer service", it was refreshing to talk to a real person instead of a machine and to get a courteous, knowledgeable one at that. Good work, 5Gstore. Other companies could learn from your example!

    Bounces garbage ISP CPE Perfectly

*by N***C on Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2021*

I noticed when applying configuration to my router, that if the ethernet connection to the ISP's switch (yes, it's a managed switch) is dropped and reconnected that I have to bounce the ISP switch to regain connectivity. This happened after I configured a static IP for use with my IPsec tunnels. I became frustrated when the ISP effectively punted on my problem, so I decided to try this. Now when my router needs to drop and and reconnect, the ISP switch will be bounced by this device, so I have no fear of losing connectivity when modifying configuration remotely. The web interface is exactly what I want it to be: crude and effective. I appreciate the thoughtful configuration options and stupid simple UI, which could only be improved upon by implementing an SSH curses UI.
