Review: Nifty Little Gadget - I purchased this to make pillow boxes to hold small candies and nuts at Christmas. I suggest making a sample out of scrap paper first; but it's easy to use and after you've made the first one, you won't need the instructions again. The finished size is about 2 1/2 inches wide, but the length is variable. I normally score things with an embossing tool I have, but I actually prefer the scoring tool that comes with the punch board. After making a lot of these this week, I have three tips: First, be sure to completely score the rounded lines. This means using the tip of the scoring tool to get into the little space next to the pointer. Second, before you glue the sides together, work the curved scored edges with your fingertips and pinch them gently into shape. Third, be sure to glue the tab all the way to the edge, and especially on the curved edges. My early ones pulled apart before I learned to be generous with the adhesive.
