Is it really only 15w?

Don't believe it for a second, that 15w TOTAL, not per speaker, is loud enough to fill a small room, because it is not. This is a nice unit and would be a phenomenal unit if they upgraded the speakers to 15w or 20w EACH. You really can't find another manufacturer that dedicates separate amplifiers for each speaker like Philips does and the improvement in the QUALITY of the sound is what sets them apart from any other American manufacturer, at this price range.

Is it possible to connect this to a television to hear it in stereo?

Yes! We Bluetooth connect to our FireTV all the time nworks like a charm.

Can it play cds burned through itunes? not necessarily mp3 cds?

Yes i am playing CD that i made over 20 years ago! Great quality im very happy with this purchase. Only thing was i spent an extra 10 dollars to order a separate antenna for better radio reception. It come with just a plastic wire one.
