We launched in September 2011 and are now carried in over a 150 high-end gourmet food stores throughout the USA such as Whole Foods, West Elm’s Market, Murray’s and Zingerman’s. We also export to fine stores in Japan (Seibu Department store), the UK (Harrods), France and Hong Kong. We make our sauces from the highest quality sugar, cream, and butter, plus a great sea salt (sel de Camargue). These are the basic ingredients in all our sauces. We don’t use preservatives, corn syrup, additives or thickeners. Our all-natural really means all-natural. Taste and texture are what make Spoonable’s sauces excellent. What makes them exceptional is how well they pair with both sweet and savory foods -- on ice cream, in a cake, dipped in fruit, eaten with a soft goat cheese or spread as a glaze on slow-cooked pork. Spoonable sauces have won some of the highest culinary awards from the Specialty Food Association, The Gourmet Retailer and local New York organizations. All our sauces are shelf-stable with a one year guaranteed expiration.

    I'm not usually a fan of lavender foods or smells but this is different. I think it would make a nice change of pace from serving honey or fig jam with a cheese plate. The flowery part would tone down the sweetness and bring out the cheese's flavors.
