I wired an extra leisure battery in parallel with this panel and fitted a 15amp fuse on the live connection from the panel to the battery and from Thursday night until about 8:00 pm on bank holiday Monday the batteries showed fully charged at the end. Without the solar panel I am sure the batteries would have been flat within a day or so. People charged their phones from the charge controller and power was used for 12volt lights, the electric toilet flush pump, the water pump and for igniting the gas cooker and gas fridge. I did not have time to fit the mains inverter I had bought which would have drawn a lot of current if it was used. In conclusion I would highly recommend this solar panel kit. This was my first time I had gone into solar panel generation and it has given me the confidence to install off grid solar for my home garden workshop where larger 36v solar panels will be used with a much larger charge controller.
