While we haven't had the product long enough to see how it does over time, it feels like given exposure to the elements and continued stretching around the head that the elastic may just wear out. Second, the red light setting (not strobe) is too broad of a beam. It would be nice if the beam were more focused similar to the white light setting. It should be noted that is exceptionally great having different switches for the white lights vs the red lights and not having to cycle through one to get to the other! The button on the wearers right controls the red LED's and the button on the left controls the white LED's, with each scrolling through high, low, flashing and off. It shipped with the required batteries and will work well for anything one would like a headlamp for. After four hours of mud and water the light started doing what it wanted (turning on and off, flashing, etc. without pushing buttons).
