Review: Perfect - I bought this kit to make a treasured memory of the last time I ever held my mum's warm hand. Due to the circumstances I wouldn't have ever been able to repeat the process if it had gone wrong, so I had to get it right this one time. The instructions were clear, and it set in the right amount of time. I was so pleased that it turned out so beautifully. It has so much detail and It only required minimal touching up after to perfect it. I would purchase again to make other memories.
Review: Handcast turned out great! - Me and my mum put together to buy a kit for Christmas. I was very nervous about messing it up but it was really easy and looks good! The cast has picked up a lot of details such as the creases in the knuckles, my thumb ring and the veins on the back of our hands. It has created a lovely keepsake and it was fun to do! Few bits of advice: - practice your pose with an empty bucket. - the plaster won't fit in your average jug so use a mixing bowl. - Mixing is messy so wear an apron and put some newspaper down on your counters. - have some water ready to wash the alginate off your whisk, but do it quickly because it sets fast in the bucket and you need to position your hands whilst it's still liquid. - raise the bucket onto a chair or table so your comfortable as you wait for the alginate to set. It took about 3-4 minutes for it to start solidifying and about 8 minutes till it was ready. - Try stay still but you do have a small window at the start where you can reposition if needed. We noticed we weren't in deep enough so had to move. Because it was still liquid we got away with it. - Don't be concerned if it looks a bit messy inside once you've pulled your hand out. I was worried we'd disturbed it too much and ruined it but it was fine. - when ready, pour a little bit of plaster in first and swill the bucket around so it gets into all the crevices. Keep adding a little and swilling. - once the plaster is set and you need to tip the cast upside down to get it out of the bucket, have a towel underneath as we had some water come out. Good luck!

**Q: Is it big enough for my hand and my 3 kids?**
A: Possibly, but probably not. You all need to keep your hands in there and still for about 10 minutes.

**Q: If i buy 2 of these and use a bigger bucket for more hands will it work??**
A: Yes I would think double the mix with bigger bucket will work its easy to use

**Q: Can the molds when completed be put on the windowsill im direct sun?**
A: You need to leave it in a cool dry place to cue can’t remember how long for but after this yes you can that’s where my one sits.

**Q: Can resin be poured into the mould instead of the plaster of paris**
A: I wouldn't like to say. don't know if there would be a reaction between the resin and the mould

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5 🌟 Very Precious End Result

I bought this because I had the same product (different brand) that hadn't worked very well. This one worked much better, I'm so pleased with the result. Its not PERFECT as such but I don't think you could get a perfect hand cast. The instructions were simple to follow and nothing is required that you'd have to go and purchase separately. (Hand whisk or electric hand whisk, large bowl, jug.) You make the pink/purple mould in the provided tub, whisk it for a couple of minutes, put your hands in, hold still and take them out when the mold turns white. Rinse it out slightly, make the plaster of Paris in a bowl with tap water, pour it into the mold, wait for 4 hours, tip it out the tub and remove the mold. It wasn't 'comfortable' as such but it wasn't too bad. My daughter and I just put an episode of Paddington on so she was distracted. It said to allow around 5 minutes for the mold to set which felt about right. The colder your water, the longer this will be. My main issue with the end result is that it's quite bobbly where there must have been tiny air pockets in the mold and the plaster of Paris seems to leave residue wherever it goes. I'll aim to put some sort of layer on there, maybe glue to strengthen it and act as a bit of a barrier. This comes with a pot of gold paint but I won't be using this.
