**Q: Is this coconut shredded or flaked?**
A: Flaked

**Q: Is it gluten free**
A: It doesn’t say gluten free on the package and reviewing the list of ingredients I would say it contains gluten. Hope this helps. I’m no expert.

**Q: can you use this on top of cookies, donuts or cupcakes without cooking it?**
A: You can eat this coconut right out of the bag.  No cooking required.  I do like to toast it a little to bring out the flavor.

**Q: Can this be used for cosmetics like for a lip scrub?**
A: Too soft to be a scrub.  It's moist and sweet coconut flakes.  They actually stick together in small clumps.
