Hunter Douglas Restring KIT 0.9mm Cord for Shades: Cellular, Honeycomb, Pleated, Roman. 1544

I had a couple of strings break in my bedroom pleated shade. This Hunter Douglas Restring KIT 0.9mm Cord for Shades came in handy in repairing my shade. The directions were simple and was a cost effective remedy than replacing the entire pleated shade that would have cost me over $150 to $200.

I panicked after my internal blind cord broke. After seeing what a repair would cost I decided to try it myself. I watched several different YouTube videos and found one that was easily understandable. Keep your laptop or tablet right there as you complete the repair. TAKE YOUR TIME and be patient!! My blinds work great!

The product itself is perfect I was anle to fix my broken blind with everything there and I'm happy there are extra supplies for future needs! I took off a start because my instructions were gaded like they had a copier with low ink. So I couldn't see the pictures. I had to do extra research on YouTube to make sure I was doing it right!

Worked great, it takes time for the first one but was much simpler than I expected. I had a second shade done in 1/4 that time. The parts seem at least equivalent quality to HD originals - which to be clear, are low quality to begin with. That's why you're here. You'll run out of new hardware well before you run out of cord. Hardware wise this kit will handle two 2-string shades of nearly any size, or 3 if you skip replacing a wire guide (or like me are doing a 2 string and a 3 string).

If you have hunter douglas shades ,you know that the strings occasionally break . I was paying $100 + to have them repaired by authorized dealer nearby . I researched online and discovered these repair kits and I have saved hundreds of dollars in repairs!! YouTube has many videos with excellent step by step instructions. I have repaired 6 of our 11 shades with perfect results every time . Highly recommend these kits !

The product comes with instructions, which seem to be for multiple products. So identifying your product's installation instructions is a little convoluted. And it's not plug and play. There are a few steps you need to figure out. That being said, I expected as much, so it's not a complaint, just a note. There are some great videos on YouTube of people showing how to perform each of the steps, if the instructions are difficult to understand. It took about 15 minutes to restring the cords while following the YouTube video. Not exceptionally difficult. Great package. I was able to use it to fix different problems on 2 different window shades.

After several less than satisfactory repairs at the factory, I dicided to try to fix my two broken shades myself. Both shades repeatedly had broken cords. YouTube was most helpful, the instruction book with the spare parts was ok. I was successful and both shades are in working order. I hope that the Hunter Douglas claim that the cording material is improved is true. Time will tell.

Had all the parts I needed to fix my hunter blinds. Nice quality. A little expensive though.
