Vibrate function is powerful and easily felt with gloves on. Sound is loud, maybe a touch too loud for my tastes, but should help for older folks. On a minor point, this is NOT yellow like pictured. Even the box shows a yellow model, but in the color options on the packaging itself, there is no yellow version of this available. This is a bright bold orange like you might find on rescue or fire equipment, for anyone who cares. The holster also has the same color trim and stitching for the logo. Holster fits pointer securely and won't fall out with movement yet easily removed, and belt attachment is solid. The belt loop velcros to the case so it stays put if not used and resizes itself effectively with smaller belts. Snap is secure but not difficult for older hands and joints. The attachment of the lanyard using a split ring works fine but the thin plastic loop to hook on to the cap seems like it could get broken pretty easily if dropped or whacked against a rock but does have some small amount of reinforcement. Oring seal on cap is snug and appears would be effective. There was some flashing on the plastic threads that might have compromised the seal if not removed - I recommend inspecting closely and cleaning if you're concerned about use around liquid. Very happy with purchase, excellent quality, feels very solid and I don't think you'll find a better price/performance product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Very Pleased *by G***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2017* This is a good unit. It has 3 sensitivity settings and all of them work very well at detecting various metals. My husband gave this to me along with a standard metal detector so we can have a hobby to do together. I am very pleased with my new pinpointer and will be using it a lot. It's so much better than my daughter's pinpointer (which cost a lot less than this one) in that the Deteknix will detect a metal object over an inch away, whereas hers has to be right at the object to be detected.
