The cradle has a USB 3.0 male port that the phone sits on and a narrow channel where the phone's USB port cover sits.during charging. The input on the back of the charger is Micro USB 2.0.Mostly, I like this cradle but have a couple of comments that kept me from giving it 5 stars. The Micro USB 3.0 port and the USB cover channel on the cradle can make placing the phone on the cradle challenging in the dark. The channel for the phone's USB port cover would have been easier to work with if ithere were a hole in the cradle rather than a channel to fit into. l created my own hole with a dremel tool and it is more workable. Since the USB input on the back of the cradle is only 2.0, the 3.0 port is not necessary and can also make placing the phone on the cradle more challenging.You cannot use the cable that comes with your phone with this cradle so if the USB cable provided is too short, you'll need to get another one. You will also need to provide your own power block, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. My feeling is that it is better to use the one that comes with the phone or buy one that meets your needs. The power block that comes with the phone is 2 amp and will charge the phone pretty fast (It.charges fine my phone fine using this cradle). If you are also charging an extra battery, you might look at getting a high quality one with 3 or more amps.My S5's slim case fits well with the cradle's detachable case plate off. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product For The Price. *by 3***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 7, 2015* Fits my Note II perfectly and charges quickly. I use the the cord that comes with this item (which is a USB/mini USB) and plug the USB side into the charging block that came with my Note II . The charging port in the back for the spare battery is somewhat awkward- but there is a separate indicator light for the battery charger which was nice. There is a blue indicator light for the phone dock and to the right of it a red indicator light for the spare battery- the red indicator light shuts off once the spare battery is charged. The amount of illumination from both charging indicator lights is minimal, which I tend to prefer so that I don't have a big, bright light next to me at night. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Almost perfect. *by D***M on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 22, 2015* I like the small footprint. I had another manufacturer's device and found it hard to pack while traveling. This one is really easy to pack. The only fault is that you really have to press down hard to get the phone to charge after you place the phone in the dock. The fitting into the charger slot in the bottom of the phone does not easily accept the charging portion of the dock.
