Review: IMPRESSED! - Why did you pick this product vs others?: Like others in the reviews, I’m 36 and suffer from cystic acne. My assumption is it’s triggered by hormones because some weeks are way better than others! I mean this by no exaggeration, one week I have pretty clear skin and the next week I have 12 pimples on one cheek (yeah, I counted). I decided to give this a go. Other reviews seemed to suffer from similar issues and were close in age. Let me tell youuuuuuuuu, those 12 pimples are 3 and they are almost gone, def way less inflammation and some even came to a head. I’ve been using it for 5/6 days now. What I can’t speak for is the last step in the system. There were so many reviews that said the retinol destroyed their face, I wasn’t willing to chance it, so I’ve never used that bottle. As someone who has tried so many things, antibiotics, birth control, dermatologist, curology, I’m sure I’m leaving something out, this has not disappointed as of yet. So, what works for me may not necessarily work for you. I have extremely oily skin and it is very acne prone. I will say that this formula is very strong and for first time users your skin will be irritated and feel itchy. At least for me that's how it was, however after a week or two of consistent use that will go away. This is the only thing I can use that keeps my skin clear. Of course from time to time I get the occasional break out, usually has to do with my crappy diet or when it’s that time of the month. But hey that happens to the best of us. I noticed others were posting photos of their towels getting stained, yes that does happen. So, be prepared and just don’t use your good towels when drying your face. It’s worth giving it a chance, I’ve used other acne treatments and they did not work for me. I say give it a month and if you don’t see a difference than find something else. Use at your own precaution, you know your skin well and if something isn’t right and you feel the irritation is too much to bear then either start off using it only once a day or every other day to ease you skin into it!
