I made the mistake of assuming that the hood of my 2024 Ford Maverick was of the same metal as my roof/doors/etc, so when I didn't specifically check the hood of my truck! Guess what?... magnets won't work on the hood of my Maverick!! The magnets work great on the metal surfaces (roof, doors, fenders... every other painted surface I tried other than the hood). I can't fault the product one bit... I just share this as advice... be smarter than me! All that said, I'm keeping them as 1) they weren't too expensive, and 2) I like them enough that I'll find a way to use them elsewhere... maybe I'll do some lighting on the roof?
