Hamacher-Schlemer sells this unit and states that it automatically comoensates for tape stretch. Does it?

It is a good unit. It is a bit odd to operate. The controls seem to be laid out peculiarly. It plays tapes well, I have not recorded a CD yet. As far as the tape play end, It's good ,but, not audiophile quality. I don't know if it compensates for tape stretch, but, it does seem to play a range of old cassettes pretty well.

does this product have rca inputs. and can it record from a mix board?

I recorded on a TDK music cd it will play in other cd players, but it won't play in my JVC cd player.

Wish I could say a lot of good things about my recorder but as yet I've not gotten a CD that will play elswhere! Love to talk to you aboit yourrecorder! I'm at (360) 734 - 5295 Maybe together we can get the results were looking for?

Once this unit records from tape to CD, can the CD disc be played back on ANY CD player (CD player built into the car)?

Judy, I recorded my first CD when I got the recorder and tried to play it on another CD Player and it would not play so I looked again at the Manuel and noticed on Page 36 that I had to Finalize it when it was through recording. I did this and I didn't have any more problems. Hope this helps. Joyce
