Gladiator Joe Monitor Mount VESA Bracket Adapter for Samsung Curved Monitors, Compatible with Models U32R590, U32R590C, U32R592, U32R591

When you open the box and actually see the product you realize “ok this is a VERY GOOD VESA mount ADAPTER that was engineered for a product that was strictly designed to use ONLY proprietary mounts. It juts out from the mount kinda far, nuts necessary to get access to the I/O of the monitor’s back panel. The steel used is VERY sturdy, and I can report that it works excellent on my 32 inch Samsung Curved monitor. If I had one negative to report it would the price, it’s a little expensive at $50. Especially when its being spent on a computer monitor that frankly is not that good. Other than that I think it’s great.

I used this to convert my Samsung 32" UR59C from a stand to a VESA mount (which I attached to an AmazonBasic single monitor arm). The quality was super-high, well constructed with a tidy weld, all edges clean and not sharp, and painted a nice even black. Literally took 30 seconds to attach to the back of the monitor. Be patient and careful in using the two attach screws to mount it and note that the top edge (of the bracket) actually slots into the monitor housing. Finally, when I ordered I had concerns that the bracket would be able to sustain the weight. Don't worry ... nice thick steel and excellent welding; I have no concerns about its longevity. Finally, while the package included 4 screws to attach the bracket to the VESA mount on the monitor arm, I used the Amazon-provided screws. So 10/10 would recommend, I just ordered another for my other monitor.

I tried using this initially with a cheaper monitor arm, and it just didn't work. The extra offset due to the adapter needing to avoid wire connections makes it difficult for the monitor arm to resist the twisting motion. I got the nicer Amazon Basics, which I believe is intended to compete with Ergotron. That worked amazingly well. Make sure you use PH1 instead of the far more common PH2, since the screws are easy to strip otherwise. Fantastic product. While it could technically be better, it's so useful and well built I can't help but rate it 5 stars.

Much to my annoyance, I bought a "VESA compatible" Samsung monitor only to find I needed a separate mount to make it work with VESA. This one was recommended, and I used it to mount the monitor. It's pretty sturdy, even though it looks flimsy in the pictures. My main complaint is that it's very "thick," -- creating a gap from the VESA mount to the back of the monitor, so I end up with the monitor closer to me than the other monitors on the mount. I've made it work, but it's an ongoing annoyance. It does seem a bit expensive for a bent piece of metal, but I blame Samsung more for their dishonest "VESA Compatible" listing than this company and product for taking advantage of it.

Exactly what I needed. Fits perfectly. My Samsung monitor is now mounted vertically. You must make sure your mounting arm can support the weight or it will tilt down! I had to return a mount and buy a “heavy duty” mount that could support the weight of my two large monitors. It your monitor tilts down, that’s not the adapter’s fault, it’s the mounting arm.

Seems expensive when you're viewing it online, but trust me when it arrives you'll appreciate that it is actually very sturdy and built to last. Worked great for my 4k Samsung 32 inch curved monitor. Take notice, however, that using this puts the mass of the monitor forward a bit further than normal, and your monitor arm might not be able to properly tilt. I initially tried using a Mountup monitor arm designed for 17.6 lbs, which worked fine for my other monitors with similar size and weight (12 lbs), but it could not properly tilt my 12 lb Samsung curved monitor with the Gladiator Joe mount installed. My solution was to purchase a heavier duty monitor arm by Amazonbasics (which are great btw), and it worked very well and easily tilts the monitor now. So just keep that in mind if you are planning to use a medium-duty monitor arm, that the tilting ability might not be what you expect after you install this. I found this frustrating enough that I preferred to purchase a more expensive mounting arm. But, if you already have a heavy duty mount, you will be fine. Overall, easy 5 star rating and no regrets. I'd buy this again without hesitation if I wanted to mount another curved monitor in the future.

Used this bracket to mount a 32” Samsung curved monitor to a standard VESA mount and it worked perfectly. The bracket is very sturdy and strong and was easily able to take the weight of this heavy monitor. I have been using it for over 6 weeks now with no issues.

Loved the finish and material it is made of. Mounted perfectly to my swing arm. When mounted, and tightened the arms to set in place, adjusting the monitor with this mount flexes too much and not really sturdy when trying to adjust angle in any direction. Feels as if the metal is flexing and hard to fine tune adjustments. Not as sturdy as I’d hope but does the job. This mount does push monitor out a few inches making it difficult to match a monitors height and depth that isn’t the same type.

I'm not crazy about the added depth, but beacuse of how this monitor is made, you need some space to reach the cable ports that are recessed. Installation was easy, you can put the 2 top screws loosely and then drop the monitor in place, then secure all 4. It is very solid and doesn't feel flimsy at all. Been using it for years. It ain't cheap, but you have no choice, and it's well made.

I bought a different 3D-printed version previously. It wasn't sturdy enough. This Gladiator adapter is made of metal and is much sturdier. Also fits my Samsung monitor well. Overall great product.
