Just to clarify none of the rest of the power strip was being used it was completely empty and the only part that got hot was the USB area. **Q: what is the distance between plugins?** A: The plugs are fairly close to one another, but should be able to accommodate standard sized plugs without spacing issues. Oversized plugs like for certain larger or specialized electronics like security systems or gaming consoles will have some overhang into other spaces depending on the orientation and placement of the plug and outlet used **Q: why is the green light not working** A: Green light should be on if the strip has power and the switch is on.
