The original Bad Boys, Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence), are back. After a string of assassinations and an attempt on Mike?s life, he convinces a hesitant Marcus to hold off retirement and partner one last time. Together, they team up with AMMO, the new hotshot division of the Miami PD, to take down the merciless head of the Aretas Cartel. Review: This franchise just keeps getting better! - I thoroughly enjoyed the 1st movie, upon learning my neighbor's brother whom I played some football with when he was visiting his nieces & nephew was in part 2 I had to get that one. While not a big star he has had some success with a children's show & played the clans men that said " Get them boys!" or something to that effect. While in the process of upgrading my V.H.S.'s the third installment came out. They did such a good job on 1 & 2 I really wanted to check out number 3. For me the price to see a film on the big screen is so pricey I just purchase a hard copy I can add to my movie library. As far as the product quality it is excellent. Clear crisp visual & well-balanced good audio. I try & avoid spoilers so I'll just say this movie has a more serious tone. The comedy is still there, with some laugh out loud scenes. But defiantly a deeper more serious plot that explains more of " Mikes" past. This instalment has darker tones & more character development. There's still plenty of comedy & moments of levity but even the humor is a bit on the darker side. But I suppose that makes sense for aging action characters. This 3rd installment is not simply a money grab, stretching out 2 successful films to make a trilogy. Instead, it enriches what has come before while giving us an emotional action filled rollercoaster ride of a film! Defiantly worth the purchase. Our aging " Bad Boy's for Life" still have plenty of gas left in the tank. Enough in fact to surpass a Trilogy if the film makers choose to take this franchise further. This story is so well written I personally wouldn't mid seeing more. Like I said they aren't stretching this franchise thin they are packing more meat on the bone. a fun action comedy not to be missed, especially if your fans of the first 2 films! Review: Love it !!! - Bad Boys for Life is the perfect blend of action, comedy, and heart that fans of the franchise have been waiting for. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence slip back into their iconic roles as Mike and Marcus effortlessly, bringing the same sharp chemistry and hilarious banter that made the original films so memorable. The action sequences are fast-paced and exciting, but what really makes this movie stand out is the balance between explosive thrills and emotional depth. The film doesnโt just recycle old jokesโit updates the story for today while staying true to the spirit of the series. It dives deeper into the charactersโ personal struggles, showing growth and vulnerability alongside all the car chases and shootouts. The new cast members also fit in seamlessly, adding fresh energy without taking away from the classic duo. Overall, Bad Boys for Life is everything youโd want in a buddy-cop movie: funny, thrilling, and surprisingly heartfelt. Itโs not just a nostalgic returnโitโs a strong, entertaining film on its own. Definitely worth watching whether youโre a longtime fan or new to the series.

Different...But still fantastic!
When I first learned there was a new Bad Boys movie in production, I was so excited. I eagerly looked forward to more of the quirky lines- like, "two bitches of the sea". I imagined the quirky comebacks and all of the action and excitement of seeing the bad boys together again at last! I was prepared for more of the same that we've experienced in the first two installments. That was not actually what was presented here...yes, there is still the excitement, and loads of action. But something was different...When I finished watching, I was perplexed because though I really enjoyed the movie, it just wasn't...the same. Then I got it...they are both older, wiser, more mature...and more fed up with the crap that comes with being a cop...it would have been a serious mistake to play them off as 30 somethings, when indeed, they are not--and we, as fans shouldn't expect them to be! I realized that what was so different was that Bad Boys For Life was classy. I believe this movie had a different director than the first two, maybe that was where the turn was made, but however it happened, it was needed for this version to be the masterpiece that it is, and not just another sequel. From the threshed out story line (not going to give any spoilers, but lots gets explained here), to the overall level of maturity, it was the perfect movie that was adjusted to suit our own levels of maturity as viewers (who are years older now as well). It was left open for future movies, and I, for one, REALLY want to see another one made... That's all I will say, because I do not want to spoil the movie for anyone, but let me just say that I am pretty sure that anyone and everyone will enjoy Bad Boys For Life.

Unbiased- Where they missed but, why you should watch anyway
I love the negative reviews. As a person who watches over 52 movies a year on the big screen I've learned one valuable thing. DO NOT GO INTO A MOVIE WITH EXPECTATIONS!!! If I walked into this expecting it to be more of the original, I'd want to give it a negative rating. However, coming into this wondering how they were going to spin the time lapse between movies and these two aging (more Martin than Will) I was satisfied. First off it's not a comedy filled laugh your lungs out type of film. Nor is it the most action packed film. This is not the deviance and activity of Taken. It's also not the cheesiness of Mission Impossible. The odds aren't quite up there with Terminator and the characters are no Rambo. Instead what we have is completion to the saga. They introduced these much younger characters in the original. They showed us their flaws and weakness. This was a complete spin off of those adding the 1000 lb gorilla of life onto them. The things we thought Mike wasn't capable of turns out he is. His biggest strength is actually his biggest weakness. Could some things have been done a little better, yes, especially with introducing characters and allowing what made the ancillary characters who they are showing up a bit more. The 2 bad guys could have been allowed to make a little bigger impact. The bells and whistles of the last scene took away from how it ended. A little to over done and instead the villans could have shined more there. That is where they make or break the movie. The lead up to it wasn't bad, but it wasn't finite in which it left room for no deviation. So casual movie fans have room to debate, brilliant if you ask me. In terms of what makes a movie a movie... Awesome actors - check Great characters - check Cinematography - check Sound Effects - check Background and environment - check Character Flaws - check Did the timeline make sense - check They really checked the boxes in terms of what movie making is all about. Again no expectations and appreciating the overall body of work, I give this a 4.5. I could see a rating as low as a 3.8 and as high as a 4.5. Anything higher is too far, anything lower is based on expectations and unwillingness to appreciate the art as it's presented. I'd watch this another couple of times (not in theaters) as a digital rental. I don't see me recommending for purchase. It's a good watch but them missing on setting up the close of the movie detracts from it's rewatchability rating. Less fx and more drama would change that opinion. Hope this helps anyone looking for a honest unbiased review.

Bad Boys...not quite!
It was nice seeing Martin and Smith but the characters don't have the same chemistry as the 1st and (2nd to a degree). Martin's character has been made too much of a goof to the point that it is cartoonish. IMO, they took too long to make this trilogy. Martin is way out of shape. Smith's chemistry with the potential love interest is very fabricated. The young cast of Ammo was well described by Smith by saying they are a Disney Teen casting. 5'1 Vanessa is bad-ass who kicks major butt and 6'2 Alexander Ludwig is a tech nerd that avoids the action until the end. LOL. There is NO back-story on the new villain. The big reveal in pretty much at the end but there is still a lot of questions about his upbringing. The action was decent. The jokes were decent and near the middle to end Martin gets his mojo back with the jokes.

Bad Boys for Life - For Real Though, More Please!
Bad Boys for Life has been a highly demanded movie for quite some time now. I remember buying movie stock in it wayyyyyy back, as it's always been a discussion. I think the careers of both the stars have always kept it from happening, but now it finally has. Michael Bay is not at the helm, but it's completely fine in the hands of an up & coming director duo. All the actors and actresses from the first 2 films return (at least most of them) and this is the merry reunion we've all been waiting for. I have to say that while I was super excited for this movie, I was expecting a somewhat subpar flick that would try to capitalize off of the fandom and just be an average action movie. Even then, it would still be a great movie by comparison, but come to find out that this may be the best in the series honestly. I love what this film did to this "universe" and opens it up for more movies in the future, but also more potential for the types of stories they can tell. Miami has that mystical vibe going with it, which is why it was such a pleasant surprise to have them weave in some supernatural elements into this story. It's not full of monsters, but there is mention of magic and skeptics can write it off as coincidence, but those of us who enjoy that type of stuff can really read into this story. The comedy is on another level in this film, with the new A.M.M.O. team comprised of a bunch of younger actors including Vanessa Hudgens, who I find myself enjoying on screen more and more. Everyone has a beat and they stick to it, and it all works so well in this already established buddy cop universe. Something about the A.M.M.O. team really makes this movie feel modern and fresh, while respecting its origins. The villain is great and the threat has never been more serious, as you'll see very quickly in the opening minutes of the film. Again, a little disappointed by the lack of audio commentary on this movie, as something as unlikely as a Smith & Lawrence commentary would be gold, but even one with the filmmaking duo would have been interesting to hear. There's some Special Features but not a ton, and they clear up any of the mystery surrounding where some of the lore came from, who returned to play in franchise, and how long this movie has been in the making. Overall, this was a super entertaining flick and I'd recommend it to fans of the originals and even those who have never seen a Bad Boys film. It's a shame Will Smith doesn't do as many movies as he used to, because he just makes anything he does great (except After Earth). Also, was the pink smoke a reference to Jaden, or was Jaden referencing Bad Boys for Life with his pink smoke videos on social? CHECK THIS OUT! B4D BOYS here we come!
