great dutch oven for making Artesian bread, thick and heavy as cast iron should be

I bought this Dutch Oven strictly for baking bread and it’s perfect. Bread comes out so nice and crispy yet soft inside. I bought the cast iron because of even heat distribution I didn’t want ceramic because I had some concern about ceramic coating on high heat. I’m careful not to place it on my glass top stove when I take it out of the oven because I’m not sure if it would cause a problem. I also wouldn’t recommend this for cooking on glass top stoves as it could scratch the surface. For gas or outdoor cooking I’m sure it would great. I was also able to find this in the Amazon Warehouse open box so I got a good price and a perfect product. I would highly recommend.

I bought this Dutch oven for the express purpose of making homemade bread. My first try was a great success! The pan came pre-seasoned and with a lid; it's very sturdy and the handles are easy to grab with oven mitts. It's also a good size for bread. This is the no-knead artisan bread from the back of Bob's Red Mill package. The bread turned out perfect: soft & supple inside, firm and crusty exterior, a great size for snacks and sandwiches. I'm so stoked!

Great quality, cast iron (heavy), non stick. Works great to make round sourdough loaves.

I'm still not sure about this product. I've only used it twice, 1st time to break a loaf of bread, and the 2nd time to make ham hocks and pinto beans, both in the oven. Both times this pot rusted, either during cooking or directly after removing from oven and cooling on the stovetop.

I gave this as a present to my wife and she loved it.

I was looking for a budget friendly, but quality Dutch oven for quite some time. I happened across this one and the price was right. I live in a tiny space and needed a medium sized Dutch oven for making my sourdough bread and I also wanted to use it for other things. The size is perfect and I love the handles on the sides and lid. It fits perfectly in my toaster oven and smoker. I love that it is a quality piece at a fraction of the price of some other brands. Would recommend and I would definitely buy again.

I make every pot roast, brisket, short rib, oxtail in this pot. Only thing i should've done was research how to wash it BUT i am sure I will be able to reseason. Great Product - would buy again!
