## Description

The Blazer GT8000 Big Shot butane torch is a refillable, gas torch with a brass frame nozzle, and attachable base. The torch creates a precise flame, emitting from a nozzle head, allowing direct heat application to an object. It is used for detailed purposes such as brazing, plumbing, soldering, jewelry making, and culinary, dental and lab applications.The GT8000 has an anti-flare, brass frame nozzle, for safety and flame control. Its design is intended for a low blow-out rate, when held in various positions, or where access is difficult, or space is limited. Its head is angled and it comes with an attachable, tabletop base for hands-free work. It features a gas-flow adjustment dial to control flame length.The torch houses a piezoelectric ignition system, which is based on a pressurized molecular reaction, and requires no electrical connection. Piezoelectric energy occurs when the trigger is activated, releasing a small, spring-loaded internal hammer that strikes a crystal, producing a spark and resulting in gas flame ignition.With a maximum flame temperature of 2,500 degrees F, the GT8000 has a continuous burn time of approximately 35 minutes, at maximum fuel volume, and has a 35-gram gas capacity. The torch has an angled head, and its flame range is 1.25 to 5.0 inches. It has a safety component that offers manual lock of the ignition, when not in use. It measures 7.5 (l) x 5.25 (w) x 2.0 (d) inches, weighs 12.0 ounces and has a black body finish. This product is intended strictly for use in professional and industrial environments. **Q: it says you can manually apply a safety. does that mean i don't have to worry about fumbling with a safety when i ignite it?**
A: What they're talking about is a little red cap that comes with the torch that locks the gas valve into place so it can't spin. it's a little red clip that clips over the igniter and knob in the back

**Q: Has anyone used a different brand of butane other than Blazer with this torch? All Blazer butane is on backorder.**
A: I use Power 5x&it works awesome. U can get a case of 12 cans on Amazon for around $30. I've been buying&using this brand for a couple years now&buy it by the case(12). I use several different torches all day long&this Blazer torch is my favorite by far. I know I'm answering a question about the fuel used in this torch,but I have to say I would recommend this torch to ANYONE looking for an awesome,HOT,pin point torch. I use it more than any of the other 7 we use at work,i,including a dual head flame throwing torch. This Blazer blows all others out of the water! We have bought&returned more than 14 torches in the last yr&this is by far the favorite around the shop! 10 stars for this bad boy&the Power 5x brand fuel can't be beat for the price. I give the Power5x 10 stars as well!

**Q: With use on titanium, how is the noise level compared to a plumbers propane torch?**
A: Its honestly not as loud. Ive had this torch for about 3 months now, only thing to watch out for is to make sure the knob is COMPLETELY tightened otherwise the gas will leak out...found that out the hard way >.>    but as for noise id put a plumbers torch at 8/10 and this torch a 5/10 for noise

A: Yes but should use Blazer Butane refills
