Learn what your doing wrong - OVERNIGHT!!
I recently went from high speed Hyabusa runs to the safer sport of dirt-bikes... Not wanting to look like a... asking the faster guys at the track what I was doing wrong (that would have earned a laugh and a lecture), I bought this book... It was exactly everything I was looking for... Since I've read this book (2 trips to the track), I am no longer waving faster riders by, I am the the faster rider... My riding is much more agressive, corners are 3 times faster, and overall control of the bike belongs to me now... If you race motocross, you may not get a whole lot from this (but I bet you will get something), however, if your in it for fun but you want a little more, this is an excellent book... I highly recommend this book...

Lots of good, timeless tips
This book has a lot of timeless tips about motocross racing and dirt bike riding with plenty of photos to walk the reader through the various techniques. I highly recommend that anyone new to this sport read the book cover to cover just to get well-grounded in the basics. There are some more advanced techniques covered, but this is primarily for the beginner to intermmediate rider. Some of the suggestions here will definitely lower your lap times.

I really like it.
Haven't finished reading the entire book, but so far it gives you some good advices on body positioning, braking and cornering... I do think this book needs an update. The bikes and gear that are shown are starting to look outdated. But aside from that, the how, the do's and don'ts of motocross are the same, so enjoy the good tips and ride on!

Best Motocross Manual
I've been to many Motocross schools, had many instructors, and have read several books about the Best Sport on Earth. This book not only has the best info, but it's laid out in such a way one can use it to keep improving their skills. When you want to be a better rider, simply refer back to it!Do you want to have more fun? Ride faster, more efficiently, and have more confidence? How about riding so that you look good (and don't crash)?I recommend this book as indispensable.

How Explain Riding Dirt Bike by Book?
The authors set themselves a daunting task when they tried to explain via the written word how to ride a dirt bike over rough ground. I have yet to find a book that does a better job at it.

Great book!
Excellent book, full of step-by-step illustrations, and tips from Gary Semics. I really love this book. Never found any other like this on the market. I wish this book could be translated in Spanish, for most of my fellows in Argentina who can't read English. I offer myself for the job!!! This book is a must for every MX rider.

Decent Book for a Beginner
Not new to motorcycles, but new to Motocross. This book reiterates lots of basic knowledge that can be compiled surfing forums and places it in a nice book.

Excellent resource
Very descriptive of riding techniques backed up by good photos illustrating the finer details of the techniques.Despite being a little older (late 90's) virtually all of riding techniques are still relevant. Some of the bike information and safety gear information is now a little dated but still useful nonetheless.

Could have been better!
Hi, Was a little dissappointed with this book. The print and paper quality I thought wasn't great compared with modern expectations. The detailed diagrams and explainations could have been more suited for the novice than the experienced rider but that is a very hard one to call depending on your level of riding and experiences. Mine would deffo be beginner level so please regard my comments as based on a limited level of experience.

Not for me but ....
I bought this book for my 10 year old grandson and all's I can say is that he absolutely loves it and hasn't put it down since I gave it to him. Whether or not he actually puts it into practice is another thing ;-)

Very nice book and if you read it carefully you can gain the basic for motocross skills. That happened in my case and from the zero point I can say I am in level 3 now. Strart with the book and do same practice following the book tips and sure you will improve your moto cross skills
