Better stick your phone in the freezer while it is copying 100GB worth of media. **Q: Is the outer shell plastic or metal?** A: its plastic, but a hard plastic. i got one cz i have macbook and a pc. this thing is tough as nails, i have it on my keys and they are thrown around the place. its a good buy ! **Q: How long is the usb C plug. I have a rather thick case on my s9+ and there is restricted access to the usb port. The plug would need to be 8mm long** A: Somewhere between 7 and 8 mm - silver bit, but black part is tapered so it might still fit ?. The transfer speeds are impressive. It’s very convenient to switch between devices with USB-C and USB-A. It feels well-made and reliable for everyday use. The only downside I’ve noticed is that it can get quite hot during long use, but it hasn’t impacted performance so far.
