These Maruchan noodle soup cups have changed very little over the years. They're still a bargain meal at much less than a dollar each, and great to keep on the shelf for a quick nosh. Chicken is my favorite flavor. I find them the quickest form of ramen because all you have to do is remove the outer wrapping, peel back the cover and add boiling water. The seasoning is already inside. The dehydrated veggies are already inside. The fill line inside the cup lets you know when you have added enough water. Since I bought an electric kettle, it's even easier now to prepare the boiling water. It's quicker - start it first and by the time it boils you will have the cup ready. Also I find it safer to pour the water right in from the kettle - when you boil water in the microwave or on the stove then you're risking spills or maybe having to transfer it into a different container just to pour neatly. HINT: If you have your spoon out already, it's the perfect tool to hold the cover down for steaming the soup after the water has been added. The cover usually won't lay flat on its own. Then when the soup is ready, enjoy!

For the life of me I can't give this a bad rating. It got me through the worst times in college when money was tight. Yes it taste like blah with hard peas and corn that has been soaking in steam and bland sauce that is still oddly hard even after sitting for 5 minutes. Probably has the same nutritional value as the foam cup it comes in. But when you are looking for a quick meal when you are busy studying and broke because of the great student financial aid/debt we have here. Anyway I got it for my little ones to make a quick meal when I am busy and to help them see what amazing things they got to look forward to in the future. So thank you Maruchan for protecting college students from starving to death. 5 stars! Also DO NOT MICROWAVE! It says it on the packaging. But after having to clean up a microwave after the little ones microwaved it thinking it would be okay and not reading the packaging. . . Figured I warn you. Starting to understand the whole tidepod thing now. Gosh I am old.

Item came damaged.

The photos are misleading, implying some chicken content and a cardboard container. No chicken in the flavouring, and the broken container is polystyrene. Even if bits weren't smashed inside, making it inedible, I couldn't have it due to an allergy. For over £4, I feel this to be poor value
