It is "truly" a Stabilizer
I love this, love this, love this. A more amazing or useful kitchen tool has not been created... I use it constantly. Anyone who bakes, cooks, scrambles eggs, or stirs anything should have this handy item. I have bought this for friends who also rave about its use. It holds most any size bowl stable on the counter top freeing up both your hands to do other things. You can stir or mix the stiffest batter, or cake mix using only one hand and bowl will not flip over, move or shake while doing so. It is easily washable, rinseable if batter gets on it or any food stuff by a quick rinse under the tap or a quick soapy wash and rinse. I cannot rave about this enough. I was not even aware something like this existed, except for a cooking show I was watching mentioned it so I searched it on Amazon and found it. It truly does what it advertises. Stabilizes your bowls. Now that I've found it I cannot live without it.

An answer to my kitchen prayers
Truth be told, I am a cookbook reader and mostly only a kitchen dabbler. But I have dreams. One of the most vexing problems to me has been bowl stabilization, especially in a process like creating an immersion for mayo and salad dressings. Just not enough hands. Yes, I have managed with the damp towel, but I grab my whisk less often than I should because it is such an awkward process whisking and adding ingredients with an unstable bowl. I am sure that I will be whisking a lot more now and feeling more chef-like for doing things properly and getting my muscles into them. I only received mine a few hours ago and did a try run. I tested bowls of varying sizes made of glass, stainless, ceramic, and melamine plastic. I got my whisk and beat them like a rented mule! The Staybowlizer kept them locked into place. I didn't realize, at first, that you can flip this puppy upside down for smaller bowls. It worked beautifully for bowls down to one quart. And I note that it is heat resistant to 500F and is recommended as an insert for an improvised double boiler. This thing is the bomb!

If you have bowls that won't sit still, you have to get this!
Just used for the first time today. All I can say is WOW! Where has this been all my life? For me, dragging out the electric mixer is often too much trouble, so I mix batter either by hand or with a stick mixer. Tried it with a few different bowls making filling for a cheesecake, and also whipping a small batch of cream. I have a lightweight plastic bowl that tends to move around the counter in spite of its rubber bottom - this held it perfectly; I angled it slightly which made it that much easier to mix. With a ceramic bowl, it is even more secure. The Staybowlizer is definitely not flimsy - feels very well made from thick silicone. I will be buying these as Christmas gifts - if you have friends or relatives who bake, this will be much appreciated.

Excellent, heavy duty silicone construction!
Excellent construction of durable, heavy-duty silicone! Can't wait to try it out this weekend! (This item was showcased on America's Test Kitchen. I'm usually the only one in the kitchen. 'Had to have it to aid my batter mixing/baking activities!) NOTE: Be sure to read the reviews that accompany lower ratings because they don't make much sense. For example, it is somehow the product's fault that people choose not to use it, so the product gets a low rating? Or the ones describing the product working exactly as intended and it being exactly as anticipated and yet the rater only gives three stars? What more were they expecting.... free airline tickets and a 4 night stay at a Hawaiian resort??)

Nice to have though
It really works well - almost too well. I found it difficult to move the bowl (I'm used to turning it occasionally when mixing). It stays put & almost develops a suction! Nice to have though.

ATK Recommended!
I saw Lisa McManus on America's Test Kitchen review this nifty gadget and instantly knew that it would make kitchen time for my preschooler that much easier and fun. All my mixing bowls fit either the top or the bottom bowl area (it flips over for smaller bowls). My preschooler cannot move it at all - which makes mixing so much easier for him (and less stressful for me!). I've enjoyed using it as well! I've been purchasing these as gifts - and gave one to a family friend who has arthritis (but still loves to bake). What a difference it made for him! This is a great, affordable kitchen tool that will definitely get use in the years to come.

A must have in the kitchen
Makes stirring bowls a breeze! Excellent for keeping bowls still on benches and for use as a Bain Marie. Great for using with kids as well in the kitchen as it stops them from tipping over the bowl. Well worth the money spent!

Indispensable!
We use this for our grandson, who has cerebral palsy and has difficulty eating from a regular plate because it tends to move around. This Staybowlizer keeps the plate upright and in position. It's indispensable for mealtimes!

Super!
It's one of those things you never knew you needed until you saw it! Keeps bowls from spinning while whisking either on the counter or over a water bath. Think a good vinaigrette or hollandaise sauce!
