Vitax Box Tree Moth Trap, Protects Buxus, Box Hedge, 200 Square Metres of Coverage, Bird and Pollinator Friendly

Having seen some reviews reporting limited early success with these mth traps, we have been delighted to date. The two traps have been up for less than a week and have ensnared around 50 male moths already. It show that we had a severe problem with our box Hedges, but it also shows the traps work. Just hope we installed them in time to affect the moths' breeding season.

I tried to assemble this today and it didn't make any sense until I realised that the green plastic cage for the lure is missing from the lid. It was not supplied! Useless. 1 STAR. UPDATE: I taped the lure to the top of the trap and tried that. It's trapped 20+ moths in 4 days and I've ordered 2 more; hopefully complete this time! This works very well.

This works really well, though it is a pain to empty out the moths, as one or two survive inside for at least a week! I have caught 32 so far this year, and it was very successful last year, catching dozens of moths. My hedge has survived and I thought last year I had lost it.

I had previously bought a different branded trap which fell apart in strong winds, this one hasn't. I have been amazed how many box moths have been attracted and trapped.. so far over 20 in 1 month... I will definitely be purchasing additional pheromone sticks for future use. A great buy.

Does the job but very expensive for what it is. Managed to catch 2 moths!

If I could give this product 0 then I would . It did not catch one single moth. Used both pheromone sachets over the course of two months beginning in March. Now have caterpillars eating my box but keeping them under control with XenTari. Don’t waste your money on this product - it’s useless

As you can see in the photo it is set up correctly with a couple of moths already in there. However while it traps the moths, they then escape again so not sure how this solves the problem?

Does what says, catches the Box hedge moth.
