I have a pretty large area to cover. How big of an area does one bottle cover? How do you apply it? How long does it take to completely dry?

First of all, here is the number on the back of the container that says "If you have any questions, call 877-959-1234 ". That is the place to get answers from the manufacturer. It is so easy to apply, you just squirt some in an area about 4x4 feet. Then you spread it around with a sponge mop with a clean cloth on it. You don't rub it in, you just cover the area once and move on. You do not need to do anything else except let it dry for about 45 minutes. I have cheesy laminated wood floors that are supposed to look like hard wood floors. This stuff makes the floor look terrific... You can renew the application when you want to freshen it up. The stuff does not build up like wax does. I hope this helps...I'm sure the people at the number I gave you can answer any questions you have. It is soooooo easy to do!!!!

Is the shine left by this product high gloss? Slippery when wet?

High gloss, yes. Slippery, no. High traffic areas require applying more of the product occasionally. Happy with the results. Short of totally sanding and refinishing the hard wood floor, this product fills the void.

How strong is the odor to this product and how long to disappear with windows open? Indoor birds my concern

Smell is minimal and doesn't last long. We did the whole house with all the windows closed and the AC on.

How do you apply this?

Like regular floor wax. Just apply it with slow gentle movements so you don't get bubbles.
