Excellent product
This solar animal repellent exceeded my expectations. Since installing it in my yard, I’ve noticed a huge difference: I no longer have issues with cats, raccoons, or other animals that used to visit constantly. The motion detection works very well, and the ultrasonic sound seems effective without being bothersome to us. I love that it’s solar-powered, as I don’t have to worry about changing batteries or spending money on electricity. Plus, it’s water-resistant, so it works perfectly even in the rain. Installation was quick and simple, and the design is discreet, blending in nicely with the garden. For the price, it is definitely worth it. It is a practical, eco-friendly, and effective solution for keeping unwanted animals away.

Good quality product and looks good
The Broox 2026 Upgraded Solar Animal Repellent has been a really practical addition to my yard and works exactly as expected. It effectively keeps away animals like cats, squirrels, deer, and even raccoons without causing them any harm. The motion detection is quick and responsive, activating the ultrasonic sound right when an animal comes near. I like that it’s solar-powered, so there’s no hassle with batteries or wiring, and it runs consistently throughout the day. The waterproof IP65 design holds up well in rain and outdoor conditions, which is a big plus. It’s easy to set up and doesn’t require any complicated adjustments to get started. Overall, it’s a reliable and humane solution for keeping unwanted animals out of the garden or yard

Works well
I bought the Broox 2026 Upgraded Solar Animal Repellent to help keep squirrels, rats, and other small animals away from my yard and future garden. Installation was very easy . I love the solar panel, makes it convenient since there are no batteries to replace. The motion sensor works well and activates quickly, no more rats nearby, so it seems to be effective. The only issue is that on Mode 1, which is designed for rodents, the frequency can still be heard by my kids. Because of that, I have to place the device a bit farther away from the house. Overall, it works well and is a good eco-friendly option for keeping animals away from the yard.

Well Built & Provides Reliable Operation
The Broox Solar Animal Repellent seems well made and features 5 different modes along with adjustable sensitivity. Enclosed in the box is the repellent, two stakes, a USB charging cable, and a card with an email to register the repellent for a 5-year warranty and gift. The manual is fairly clear, but page 8 mentions a charging indicator light when charging the repellent via USB cable, which I could not locate on the repellent. I charged the repellent 8 hours per the manual and stuck it outside to do its job, which it does fairly well. The manual mentions the IP code of the repellent is IP44, meaning it will operate normally under normal rainfalls, but should be removed during a rainstorm. This is somewhat difficult to do during hot summer days due to pop-up thunderstorms that could occur while you’re away from home. There was one instance where a thunderstorm popped up while I wasn’t home and the repellent was exposed to heavy rain, which didn’t seem to affect it as it still works normally. I wouldn’t recommend continuous exposure to heavy rain, and one review mentioned placing a quart-sized plastic food bag (perfect fit) over the Broox and zip the bag closed underneath on either side of the short stake, which apparently doesn’t affect operation. The solar battery charging, replaceable batteries, and adjustable sensitivity are huge pluses. I test it weekly by doing a slow walk by and it alarms without fail. At lower sensitivity settings, it does not alarm for smaller animals like squirrels and small birds, and is not prone to false alarms like another repellent I purchased from Amazon which went off randomly and repeatedly from just the wind. I bought the Broox repellent to use in conjunction with a low height goose fence to help deter geese walk-ins. I use Mode 4 (flashing + alarm sound) with sensitivity at the lowest setting because I want to detect large slow-moving geese, not squirrels and other small birds which I welcome into my backyard. I had a small gaggle of about six geese apparently tripped the repellent, and they went about their business, as in they stayed out of my backyard. While the Broox repellent may have handled a small gaggle of geese, I have had gaggles upwards of 30 geese approach my backyard in the past, but not since I installed the Broox repellent. Whether it will scare off such a large gaggle remains to be seen. A larger gaggle may require a second repellent which I am considering. The Broox repellent Mode 3 emits ultrasonic frequencies between 20KHZ - 25KHz, which may prove useful in deterring geese. The prevalent school of thought is that birds cannot hear ultrasound. However, after doing a little research, I found that some birds, including geese, are able to perceive certain ultrasound frequencies. Dr. Philip Whitford, PhD, experimented with a goose in a lab environment by testing its' reaction to a 22,000 (Hz) / 22Khz burst of sound. The goose toppled over instantly, became rigid, and the eyelids flickered open and closed. After the ultrasound stopped, the goose recovered and stood, seemingly unharmed. The experiment was repeated several times with the same results. The Broox repellent is a powerful tool which will help ward off unwanted animals in your yard.

Thanks for the fast delivery, well packaged as well. This is a solar charged device, so I expected to have to buy NiCad batteries, but they were already included, which was a nice surprise! So far it seems to be working as expected.

I live near a forest where there are many monkeys and they keep coming to our house to steal food and it was such a nuisance. I bought 5 of these and place at different locations around the house but it does not help. The monkeys still come and even get close to the device
