This magnetic locking keychain has been a total game changer for my daily routine. I work in an office setting and am required to carry several keys, and this makes managing them incredibly easy. I use it to disconnect my car keys from my office keys, and it works flawlessly. As a groundskeeper I need regular access to my keys all day and it gets tedious digging them out of pockets and they don't feel too good in there in the first place. I like having my keys on my hip for easy access and because I like the sound it makes when I walk. I had tried a few of the retractable key/badge holders but they're all intended for very light loads and all of them ended up breaking at some point. I found this searching for a replacement and decided to try it. So far, a few weeks later, I have zero complaints. Some highlights: - Both sides are magnetic so the attraction is strong and it also means you could buy multiple sets of these and mix and match them. It also means that both sides can be attached to anything metallic which can be quite convenient. As a bonus, it also means that on the off chance you miss the actual coupler it will likely still grab hold of your key ring and stop your keys from dropping. - The magnetic coupler AND the carabiners both lock and can be easily locked and unlocked with one hand without looking at them. This is VERY useful if you're about to do something like ride in a car or do some jumping jacks and want to be absolutely sure your keys are secure. The coupler is a screw on lock and is very secure, your belt loop would probably rip off before it would fail. - Easy to snap the couplers together without looking. If you get them within an inch of each other they usually snap right into place. 10/10 I'd buy it again.

This key chain clips on beautifully at both ends and has a super-strong magnet. You can twist it and make it even more secure but I don't bother since the magnet here is so powerful. It is not coming off! Super product!

This thing has powerful little magnets, but they can and will come apart from other stressor if not locked by screw. No direction on package. The slide lock to lock the clips are not easy on the thumb or nails. It does what it's supposed to do, just has a learning curve if you want to quickly and easily use it.

I use this to hold my keys to my belt loop all day every day. This is the best quick release key holder on the market full stop. I drive a car with a key to start it, I can quickly reach down and pop my keys off my belt, and when I get out of the car the magent pulls it straiget back on. I have not dropped my keys in the time I've had it. The magnet is enough to hold my keys through thick and thin. I only lock it down when I'm in a scetchy place where dropping my keys would mean they're lost forever.

The build quality is good. The magnet is decently strong. When it's together it's not the smallest thing, but it's not huge, either. I love this because I have my house and mail keys on one side and my car keys on the other. Because the front and back doors are metal at our apartment, I just stick them to the doors. No hanging up or misplacing your keys, just stick it to the darn door above the handle and anyone can find it super fast. And if you're worried about it coming apart, on top of the magnet, there's threads for it so screw together. And for the carabiner function, they have little pieces on there to prevent it from opening. If you constantly change what's on there that could get annoying to undo every time but if you leave it the same like me, you don't have to worry about stuff falling off. I'm definitely going to come back to Nite Ize for other little stuff like this, this thing has been awesome so far

Bought this a year ago because I had gone through 3 carabiners in two year for my work keys that was being taken on/off my belt 20+ times a day. I was in the market for something sturdier. So far it has been working wonderfully! Magnet is good and strong, I haven't needed to use the lock feature since I use my keys so often. The only down side is occasionally getting stuck to metal (I'm in maintenance at a local theme park) when passing through narrow gates/doorways, but won't stop me from using the keychain. I would very much recommend this product to anyone who needs quick access to their keys. It's a shame item no longer for sale, it's an amazing product for those of us who use keys constantly on daily basis.
