The engine cranked right up the first time I tried it, but the water pressure was almost non-existant. I went looking online for replacement parts and found that they aren't redily available since it's been over 10 years since these machines were built. Then I stumbled across this listing. The reviews were good, so I figured I'd give it try. The hardest part about installing this pump is getting the old OEM pump off of the machine. Once that was done this went on very easily. As soon as I cranked it up and squeezed the nozzle handle I couldn't believe the power of the water blast coming out of this now! This is a huge upgrade over the original pump that came on this. If you've got one of these old pressure washers sitting around and the engine still runs good, this pump upgrade will make your old pressure washer better than it was when it was new! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My pressure washer is better than new! *by G***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 19, 2017* My >10 year old DeVilbiss pressure washer finally refused to give me high pressure, no matter what I did. It had been temperamental for years, but this time, it was done. After a little online research, I learned that the "unloader valve" in these machines is prone to failure (it gets stuck and prevents high pressure operation). I thought, no biggie, I'll just order a new valve. After a good amount of searching online, I discovered that the valve is no longer available. I was up for buying a whole new pressure washer - or so I thought.Enter World Wide Parts USA and this pressure washer pump kit! You get a new, oil-bath pump with its own oil reservoir, plus the fasteners needed to retrofit the pump to your old pressure washer. You'll need some basic mechanical ability to remove the old pump and swap in this new one, but if you're comfortable with turning wrenches, you should have no trouble. In my case, I found that I had to trim the plastic spacers provided so that I had enough bolt threads sticking through the engine flange for the nuts to grab on to. I also had to cut away some of the plastic belly pan on the pressure washer so that the inlet, outlet, and soap fittings were easily accessible. Once I finished the installation, I fired up the engine and was instantly treated to some kick-a** high pressure. I then used the pressure washer to clean my extra crusty/moldy/mossy deck (approx. 500 sq. ft., 6-9 hours of cleaning time), and the pump never missed a beat! In fact, my pressure washer now generates better high pressure than it did when it was brand new!If you have an old pressure washer that runs well but isn't making pressure, and it's one of the models this kit is compatible with, then I highly recommend you give this a try! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Hardware does not fit vr2500 Briggs & Stratton *by T***Y on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 19, 2021* Pump works but hardware included does not fit vr2500 with 6.5 Briggs & Stratton engine. I had to go buy three 2 inch long 3/8 bolts and use three regular and one lock washer. Also, I did not receive the NEW AND IMPROVED VERSION with the hole to drain the oil.
