The description mentions a special key. Are the keys supposed to be included?** A: yes,they usually include one key for the six boxes. They should tape the key to one of the boxes but in my last couple of experiences they just threw a key in with the boxes. Perhaps you didn't know and threw the key out with the box they came in **Q: Is this big enough for some BIG rats to walk into?** A: If you mean something like the length of your arm not counting the tail, yes! I'm originally from NY and we had rats the size of cats. Just make sure that you can secure the bait stations. I use two 24" threaded rods with washers and nuts so they stay unmoved. These stations come with two holes in the bottom for this purpose although not mentioned in any instructions included. Don't loose the key!!! I have purchased 18 bait stations so far. **Q: Can these be opened without the key, with a screw driver or something else?** A: You can buy keys I sell them in my Amazon store. **Q: Does this include any of the metal rods to hold the bait? If so, how many per station?** A: There are two metal bait rods per station. However, it does not come with bait. Once you can see the mechanism, it's EZ to see using two keys to open the box makes opening it a breeze. ( I did receive 6 keys with my six bait stations!)
