What is the spacing of the holes on the front rail for fitting to a cast iron table?

The front rail has a slot at the back,so you put the bolts in the table slide the rail on and tighten so no worries about space between bolts, hope this helps 👍

Will a work zone saw table without too much hassle?

IT would not attach using the provided mounting method this is designed to bolt onto a cast iron table saw , you would need to make a stand for the saw and fix the fence to the stand. it could be done but not just out the box and fit.

I don't know what you mean by spears, but it is a good bit of kit

Is there any way to adjust the fence to get it parallel to the saw blade ?

Yes, loosen the 4 nuts on top of the bit that goes on the track, bring the fence next to the blade, make sure they are parallel and tighten the nuts with an hex key.
