Not only does it hold the object securely, it is easy to remove when you want to relocate the object. My then 3 year old grandson lived with me for a year when my son was deployed, and this "nailed" everything down securely. Highly recommend this product. Review: No for me. Great idea if it worked - I don't know about anybody else but this did not hold for me. I use it to keep my pictures straight and it didn't do it and then I try to put a big vase so it wouldn't tip and it didn't work. So I don't like this and I wouldn't buy it
