I bought this scratching post for my two adult cats, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. I was a bit worried when I saw how thin the base was in pictures, but it's actually much sturdier than I expected. My cats are pretty big and active, and even when they're really going at it, the post doesn't tip over. It stays put, which is a huge relief. The height of the post is the best part. At 80cm, it's perfect for a full-grown cat to get a proper, full-body stretch. That's a really important thing for their health and for keeping them from scratching up my couch. The jute material on the post is also a big win. It's a natural fiber that they really seem to enjoy digging their claws into, and it's holding up well after a few months of use. It's much better than a carpeted scratching post which can feel too soft for a cat who really wants to sharpen their claws. The only real downside for me is the little dangling toy at the top. It's a fun idea, but my cats ripped it off in about 30 seconds. So if you're buying this, don't expect the toy to last long. It's a minor thing, though, since the main purpose is the scratching post itself, and it excels at that. Overall, if you're looking for a simple, tall, and sturdy scratching post that's a good value for the money, this is a fantastic choice, even for adult cats.

Absolutely brilliant for the price didnt expect it to be so big and bulky!!! Very easy to put up very sturdy for my maine coon and 2 other cats. Hopefully they leave my sofa alone 🤣 will definitely be buying again when I need to upgrade looks good in my loving room the colour matches my decor. Can see my big cat having fun with it. Decent value for the price.

Good cat scratching pole, well made, appears durable and quite heavy weight. Only gave four stars cause the the ball on top came off straight away, but that could just be my cats. However, they still prefer the edges of my sofas!!😩

This came yesterday. Quite heavy and a little awkward to put together for one person. But I managed it. Very sturdy, looks good quality and puss loves it. The height is great as she can stretch straight up. She also likes the toy. I sprayed it with catnip which I believe helped. Good value for money. Can recommend.

Very sturdy, the cat is ALREADY knocking it for 12....meow.... That was the cat saying grrrreat, seriously, Amazon again to the rescue. Easy to assemble 4 screws bottom one on top.... Simple Well worth the money, heavy. 5* from the cat and us poor mortals. Thank you Amazon and the makers.

Ich habe den Amazon Basics Kratzbaum (ca. 40 × 40 × 90 cm) einige Wochen in Gebrauch und möchte meine Eindrücke teilen. Qualität & Material: Der Kratzbaum wirkt robust verarbeitet – die Basis ist schwer genug, dass er auch bei kräftigem Bespringen stabil bleibt. Der Teppich‐Bezug fühlt sich angenehm an und ist weich genug für Pfoten, strapaziert aber auch nicht zu schnell. Krallenpflege & Kratzverhalten: Meine Katzen nutzen vor allem den Teppich und die Seitenflächen intensiv zum Kratzen. Das Material bietet genug Widerstand, ohne die Krallen übermäßig zu beschädigen. Es erfüllt seinen Zweck, Möbel und Teppiche zu schonen. Komfort & Nutzung: Die Höhe ist sehr praktisch: Oben kann eine Katze „überwachen“, und unten gibt es genügend Fläche zum Liegen oder Springen. Meine Katzen nutzen beide Ebenen – sowohl zum Ausruhen als auch zum Spielen. Aufbau & Handhabung: Der Kratzbaum ließ sich relativ einfach aufbauen; alle Teile waren dabei und passten gut. Wichtig finde ich, ihn gleich auf einem festen, ebenen Boden zu platzieren, damit nichts wackelt. Parfait pour le prix, 2eme identique que j'achète pour mon siamois. Le griffoir est assez grand pour qu'il puisse s'etirer dessus en faisant ses griffes et il ne bascule pas. La durée de vie est d'une année

Read the reviews on this and about 50 other scratching posts before picking this one. Picked because of the little pedestal on top and for being taller so the cats can stretch out! Wasn't long before the 1-yr old was on top and scratching away when I put it down for them. Assembly took about 3 minutes! REALLY sturdy! Nice design! No weird smells either! Looks nice too so you can put it in a living room instead of hiding it away. Seems to be holding up really well and is a high quality scratching post! The little ball that comes on it is fun for the cats too and even comes with an extra replacement ball and a little set of tools. I was hesitant because so many other posts just fall apart or leave junk all around the floor after they scratch but this one doesn't have any of those issues at all! I recommend and the cats seem to approve!
