Designed for audiophiles and professionals, it delivers superior timing, low inductance, and consistent amplifier load, ensuring pristine sound quality even on long cable runs. Pre-terminated with Airloc Heat Shrink Banana Plugs, it offers effortless, reliable connectivity for high-end audio setups. ## Description As a company approaching five decades of expertise in speaker cable design, QED presents the XT40i, a next-generation speaker cable that enhances the legacy of the acclaimed XT40. Engineered with pure oxygen-free copper and QED’s evolved X-Tube™ technology, it delivers precise stereo imaging and superior timing. The addition of the innovative Air Gap dielectric ensures an exceptional level of rhythmic accuracy and musicality at a competitive price point. Low DC resistance allows for unmatched frequency response, setting new standards for audio clarity. Ideal for long cable runs, the XT40i maintains high-quality sound across its length. When factory pre-terminated, it comes equipped with Airloc Heat Shrink 4mm Banana Plugs for optimal connection. Whether connecting your AV receiver or home cinema amplifier to your speakers, the XT40i is designed to elevate your listening experience—offering clarity, balance, and natural musical presentation that outperforms competitors many times its price. ## Features - Connect your Home cinema amplifier, AV Amplifier, Receiver To your Speakers. Pair of Speaker cables Pre-Terminated with Airloc Heat Shrink 4mm Banana Plugs - Air Gap dielectric --- By increasing the separation of the conductors inside the cable, and therefore the amount of air between them, QED has created a low-loss Air Gap dielectric. This technology halves the dissipation and capacitance characteristics of the cable, and results in numerous audible improvements - particularly where timing and rhythmic accuracy are concerned. Despite this increased separation, though, XT40i retains the sort of cross-sectional area that makes it ideal for long cable runs. - X-Tube technology --- Forming the cable conductors into a tube-like shape around a hollow insulating rod in the centre of the cable equalises current densities, delivers very low inductance and presents a consistent, even load to an amplifier. The result is a cable that retains more of the finest musical details, that handles rhythms and tempos in the most natural and musically satisfying way, and that outperforms rival designs costing far more. - This pure oxygen-free copper cable uses an evolution of QED’s established X-Tube technology to guarantee superb timing and stereo imaging, and adds the brand new and highly innovative Air Gap dielectric to bring unheard-of rhythmic accuracy and musicality to a cable of this modest price. Very low DC resistance adds unrivalled frequency response to XT40i’s already potent audio capability. The result is a cable that advances on the class-leading standards set by its predecessor. - Gauge: 12AWG / Outside diameter: 6 x 14 mm / Conductor chemistry: 99.999% oxygen-free copper ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07YTZW7YC | | Best Sellers Rank | 18,002 in Electronics & Photo ( See Top 100 in Electronics & Photo ) 118 in Speaker Cables | | Brand | QED | | Cable Type | DVI | | Colour | Grey | | Compatible Devices | Amplifiers, Speakers | | Compatible Phone Models | No Compatible Phone Models | | Connector Gender | Male-to-Male | | Connector Type | 4mm Banana Plugs | | Customer Package Type | protective packaging | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (192) | | EU Spare Part Availability Duration | 2 Years | | Gauge | 12 | | Included Components | A Pair of Pre-terminated Speaker Cables | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Item Length | 3 Metres | | Item Shape | Round | | Item Weight | 0.3 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | QED | | Manufacturer Part Number | QE1453 | | Maximum Voltage | 100 Millivolts | | Model Name | XT40i | | Model Number | QE1453 | | Number of Items | 2 | | Number of Pins | 24 | | Other Special Features of the Product | X-Tube Technology | | Recommended Uses For Product | Audio Transmission | | Specification Met | IEEE, RoHS, UL | | Unit Count | 3.0 meter | ## Product Details - **Brand:** QED - **Cable type:** DVI - **Compatible devices:** Amplifiers, Speakers - **Connector type:** 4mm Banana Plugs - **Special feature:** X-Tube Technology ## Images ![QED Reference XT40i Speaker Cable with X-Tube Technology - Terminated with Airloc Banana Plugs (Pair) (3, 3, Metres) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31+ZOL29yvS.jpg) ![QED Reference XT40i Speaker Cable with X-Tube Technology - Terminated with Airloc Banana Plugs (Pair) (3, 3, Metres) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41J4KFw5VWS.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Cable Length** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - QED Reference XT40i Speaker Cables (9.8 ft l 3M) - Q Acoustics 3050i Floorstanding Speaker English Walnut (Price displayed is for 1 Unit, for Complete Pair Please Order 2 Units) Stereo Speakers for Surround Sound/Home Theater - Mediabridge ULTRA Series Subwoofer Cable (15 Feet) - Dual Shielded with Gold Plated RCA to RCA Connectors - Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.dk/products/164031449-qed-reference-xt40i-speaker-cable-with-x-tube-technology-terminated](https://www.desertcart.dk/products/164031449-qed-reference-xt40i-speaker-cable-with-x-tube-technology-terminated) --- *Product available on Desertcart Denmark* *Store origin: DK* *Last updated: 2026-11-06*
