As a field engineer the grid really helps me in my rough drawings to make lines straight and drawings consistently better that if the grid wasn't present. The B5 size is perfect as my computer bag has a compartment slot that a full size spiral notebook would not fit. The spiral is made of heavy duty wire that does not deform easily under adverse conditions while on the work site. The spiral is formed such that when you open the notebook the pages lay flat without needing any assistance. The front and back covers are made of heavy plastic as I despise cardboard covers. I keep my notebooks as records of customer meetings and work site notes. I do not like when a notebook with a cardboard cover starts to rip off the spiral! I've bought several of these for work and personal use.
