I can only conclude they are bonded **Q: I know the underside is non slip, but how slippy is the top, will chairs etc move quite easily on top of it?** A: The top surface has a satin-like finish so yes, chairs move easily over it but bear in mind that it may ruck up as although it’s non-slip underneath, it’s still just a piece a piece of fabric and not like a heavy rug. Hope that helps. It’s a very nice product. My daughters in law have them and I have one for when the grandchildren vist. **Q: Does the non slip also work when mat is on carpet?** A: Bellow. You can literally lay it anywhere. It doesn't stick to the floor or anything it's basically just a wipeable mat. We out it down for each meal and take it up and pop it away once we are finished. In my opinion it's well worth a buy! **Q: Does it have two layers of fabric?** A: Not two actual layers of fabric ..... there’s the top material which is patterned and the underneath is a plain non slip material Works well ## Frequently Bought Together - TotsAhoy!
