I bought this for a family member doing time in federal lockup. He says it's the most popular book I've ever given him. Practical, useful, and it gives people the sense it's something they can do for themselves.

Not for the Layperson!
This book is put together well with tons of color photos and lots of information, but at only 218 pages it's a general overview of the process of building your own tiny home. Furthermore, I believe it would only be of real use to someone with a background in carpentry, plumbing, electrician or just all-around construction. If you don't have that kind of work experience then most of this book will go over your head. It is not a detailed step-by-step instruction manual of how to build you own home.

It’s okay
It’s good information but not what I expected. I wanted more pics and ideas of tiny houses and floor plans with instructions on how to build. This does help with the bigger picture/planning process, permits, etc.

1st Tiny House book of my collection
I like this book. It has tons of pictures, is well researched, gives basic information on all systems of a house, and includes some floor plans of popular tiny homes. I really enjoyed this book and all the information there was. I didn't like that the description said it contained floor plans, but didn't say it contained so few.

Lots of ideas, but, American based
Excellent book full of ideas. BUT Only 4 stars as it wasn't obvious that it was an American book, so some translating to do for UK laws and utilities, voltage etc.

Good read but light on frame construction methods
I bought this as a gift. It is light on framing ang construction methods but otherwise it is a good info book.
