This is much better than the KORG PS-3 foot pedal!
The two best things about the Korg PS-1 is that it is made of a very sturdy metal casing and it's bright yellow colour is easily seen when positioned on the floor. I prefer the PS-1 being made of metal vs the Korg PS-3 which is encased in an all black plastic lessening the durability and making it more difficult to see when on a dark floor. I was fortunate to be able to purchase the limited edition KORG ARP 2600 FS in which this is the absolute perfect pedal for it. I am very happy with the performance, durability, and weight of this foot pedal.

Does one thing, and does it right.
Korg has built a sustain/footswitch pedal that just kills it. With a slim design (hence the 1 star on thickness), rubber bottom, silent action, and the Korg name behind it, you couldn't do much better than this pedal. So you want to have a pedal that will last to gigs and being thrown around? This is that pedal. Solid metal upper and lower, entire bottom is a rubber pad to prevent slippage, and top rubber grip hold well on your foot to ensure its not going anywhere while you use it. With a cord coming in just about 6 feet long, you have a decent amount of room to work with for most pianos/midi keyboards even at a standing height. I have put mine through good use and I don't see any wear yet, and still does its ONE job excellently. Do yourself a favor, stop scrolling and just buy this one.

Reliable and Built Like a Tank
I normally don't like using this style of pedal for my keyboard rig, but when my last piano-style damper pedal died on me during a gig, I decided to opt for this one after hearing stellar reviews about it's sturdiness and longevity. I've since used it as a damper pedal for both a Korg keyboard and a Crumar keyboard and it certainly does the trick. It's heavy-duty and lightweight, so it travels well, and the rubber underneath keeps it from slipping. 100% would recommend for any active gigging keyboardists.

This is one of the best pedals you can get, but it still has the fatal flaw.....
The pedal is actually one of the best you can get. The switch is great, the entire pedal is made well. But it still has the flaw..... the cord is non-detachable and will break. One idea someone did is to put a Bill Lawrence type cable and then use those non-solder 1/4 tips on it. So when it breaks, you just unscrew the tip, cut off the end with a scissors screw on the tip to the new end. Another option which I believe we can do, is drill a hole into the back and put a 1/4" jack which would make it indestructible.

Solid Reliable Pedal
Excellent pedal, I own two of these, one as a stop/start switch for arpeggios on a Triton, and the other as a sustain pedal on an old WaveStation synth; works flawlessly in either scenario. Obviously if you need a more realistic half-pedal dampering piano-like feel, this is not the pedal to buy (that would be the Korg DS-1H). But for simple sustain and various on/off functions, this is the one to get for any Korg keyboard. Very well-made too. Recommended.

Pedal started failing after a year
Despite the reviews on this, after one year of gigging about once a week, the pedal has done what all the others have done, where the flimsy metal contact piece inside slightly warps and leaves me without sustain in the middle of a show. I don't understand how we can build computer mice and keyboards that can be pressed one million times and work for decades, but I can't find a sustain pedal that will work for a while. Otherwise the build quality is fine.

Works great with My KORG KROSS keyboard
I love this pedal. It sustains the sound for my keyboard...I plugged it into the input labeled "damper" in the back of my korg Kross keyboard. WORKS! I needed this. It feels solid. It has a heaviness to it that gives me a feeling that this will be a sturdy dependable pedal.

Doesn't work properly !
I use it as a Fill switch with my KORG Pa5x but it doesn't trigger the Fill at the right moment !

it's my first ever korg hardware, enclosure is metal and the attached cord is flexible rubber, back-tension of the cap when pressing has good weight to it and the stroke/travel is good enough .. it's genuine & made in japan
