Descendants: Mal's Spell Book

the spell book is really great. I Like the hair spell in it. It has lots of great information for fans of the movie. Good pictures, super fun and funny

Bought this for my 10 year-old niece who is a hardcore fan of the Descendants series. Mal is her favourite so I had to get this as soon as I came across it. The book is great quality, with lots of cool spells (including the ones seen in the films), notes from Mal and the other VKs, and other interesting tidbits and entries about some of the other characters from the first film. The layout and images are very detailed, the font is a good size and easy to read, and overall it really feels like you're holding an old world spell book. It's a great collectible for any Descendants fan, particularly if your favorite is ofc Mal!

It was a great book. It came on time, and even though we ordered a used book it was like it was brand new. It was like I got a glimpse into Mal Carlos Evie and Jays life. Great quality, great book, and I would definitely buy it again. There is stuff from it from descendants wicked world, and it's nice to see that it doesn't only deal with the first movie but but also lets fans recognize things that they knew from other stuff. Overall, great book, I love it!

Loves it

My kids, ages 8 and 7, are crazy for Descendants these days, and they love this book. It's supposed to be the spell book Mal uses in the first movie, but has also been used as a shared diary by the four main characters, who write commentary throughout -- basically, they tell the story of the movie in little notes to each other. Each of the four has their own handwriting, and my girls think it's really neat to get insights and secretly peek into their world, which is what this feels like. They even remember stuff the characters have written to each other when they watch the movie, so they feel like insiders. Obviously Disney has mastered the whole synergy thing here, along with the feeling of being in the club and in the know -- which, in this case, I don't mind at all because it's a cool book! And they're reading, so that's cool by me! They do need a little help, it's challenging for them at their age, but we look at it together.

My 7-year-old daughter is obsessed with all things Descendants and so I thought this would be an awesome Christmas gift for her. I was a little disappointed to later realize that it’s not simply a pretend book of spells but instead, a book with some spells and lots of commentary from Jay, Carlos, Mal, and Evie. Each character ‘writes’ in a specific colors and so their commentary is scattered through all the pages of the book. It’s sometimes difficult to follow along and overall, just not exactly what I was expecting. She still has fun with it and has read some of it, but I think that she too was expecting a pretend play ‘spell book’ and this fell short of her expectations. I’m including a few photos of some sample pages just to provide a closer and more thorough look at what to expect from the book – hope that’s helpful to others!

If you watched the movie you will live the book, cute spell to experience.

Got as a birthday gift and shipped it to my best friends daughter since we couldn’t make it to the party she was saving and she’s into descendants and that was the theme. He just texted me that she absolutely loves it and is so thankful. So that’s a win. My friend 8 year old daughter approved 🤣

This a very nice spellboook But it is like the movie in words At some points I thought that this book shouls be U/A 13 + LoL I hope you liked a 11yr old ' s review 😂

Dieses Buch ist absolut fantastisch und ein Muss für jeden Descendants-Fan! Es ist nicht nur ein Buch, es ist Mals tatsächliches Zauberbuch aus den Filmen, das man in den Händen halten kann. Die Aufmachung ist einfach genial: Das Buch sieht genauso aus wie im Film, inklusive des tollen Einbands und der "handschriftlichen" Notizen, Kritzeleien und Kommentare von Mal, Evie und den anderen VKs. Die enthaltenen "Zauber" und Illustrationen sind witzig und liebevoll gestaltet. Es ist eine wundervolle Ergänzung zur Filmreihe und lässt einen noch tiefer in die Welt von Auradon und der Insel der Verlorenen eintauchen. Es ist ein echtes Sammlerstück! Fazit: Mehr als nur ein Begleitbuch – ein magisches Requisit zum Anfassen. Volle 5 Sterne.

I got this for my 9 year old who is a major Descendants fan - along with all of her friends - they are obsessed! I've never seen a group of girls look through/read something this much. It comes out at every playdate. It's been 2 months and it's still a favorite of theirs. Bought it alongside Mals Diary. Would highly recommend both!
