Review: Design Flaw - This is a really nice looking toneau cover when installed. the problem comes when you need to remove it to actually use your truck for hauling something bigger. I have had this installed for a month and had to remove it twice to haul bigger items. It is supposed to be a simple process, just raise it up and out of the front mount. "DON'T BELIEVE IT"! Both times I had to completly remove the front mounting brackets to get it off the truck and the cross braces are so loose that they fall out while trying to remove or install it. its just a bear to deal with, especially with only one person. I bought an Extang cover for my last truck and it worked perfect every time. the cross braces more heavy duty and hold tight to the cover for removal as apposed to the Lund. The shock absorber that holds the cover up on the lund has no place to stow it when you remove it from the truck so they just dangle and try to scratch your truck. The Extang on the other hand had a place to stow is to keep it out of the way and one person could easily remove it in about 30 seconds and then install it in about the same amount of time. last night I spent about 30 minutes to remove and install the Lund. If you are going to install it and never use your truck to haul anything then this would be fine. I am going to try and sell mine and pay the extra money for the Extang, it is a far far better product!!! Review: Looks good once it's on - Once installed the Tonneau is very nice looking and seems like it will last. The instructions that come with it aren't worth the paper they're printed on though. The good: - Looks good when done - Lightweight - Appears that it will hold up well The bad: - Can't remove Tonneau cover from the frame once on the truck - On my RAM 1500, this should really be about 1" longer. It barely covers the tailgate - The cross braces aren't secured to the frame. I haven't tried to remove the cover assembled but my guess is that the bars will fall out. This can be resolved by drilling a hole and bolting them in place if the time comes For the price I'm satisfied. It will come down to customer service. This is supposed to have a Lifetime Warranty just like the Extang covers do.
