As you can see, Velvet Teddy looks very creamy when it’s swatched. That’s a great plus in my opinion: most lipsticks with a matte finish like this one are drying on the lips. MAC Velvet Teddy is probably one of the most hydrating matte lipsticks I’ve tried. It also doesn’t accentuate any dry patches on your lips, but I still recommend scrubbing your lips before applying any lippy on them! The colour of MAC Velvet Teddy is very unique in my opinion. It’s a light brown colour with a slight red undertone to it.

A: nope not vegan a lot of Mac is not vegan some are vegan free but this product is not vegan

**Q: Is this lipstick super drying?**
A: The ones I've tried all stay amazingly smooth and creamy. I don't experience the waxy flaking that other lipsticks dry to and these only need reapplication after drinking coffee from a paper cup. Definitely feel like paying a little extra for quality is well worth it for these lipsticks.

First Mac brand purchase. Wanted matt lipstick in natural/nude color. Have tried many other brand/colors trying to find the perfect one. Finally this is it! Creamy and non-drying. Perfect color for me. Another reviewer suggested Mac lip liner in Chestnut to compliment Velvet Teddy. Dark, but if used carefully it works. I'm 64 and like to keep my look current. Won't be my last Mac purchase.
